Mr. and Mrs. Fred McGregor, Woodstock spent the weekend with his mother Mrs. Gregor McGregor. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Dalrymple spent the winter months at Arcadia, Florida. We also welcome home Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pepper who have returned from Florida. Mrs. Murray Traquair who was a patient in University Hospital, London, returned to her home. Noble Grand Margaret Upshall presided for the opening of Amber Rebekah Lodge on Wednesday evening assisted by Vice Grand Eunice Aikenhead. An invitation was accepted to the 75th anniversary of Goderich Lodge on May 12. The District Church parade will be at Northside United Church, Seaforth on tray 6 at 11 a.m. The Huronic Lodge Clinton are holding their Dessert Euchre May 2 at 1 p.in. Arrangements were made for the "Dessert Euchre' to be held on May 9. A donation was made to the Cancer Fund. SENIORS HOLD POT LUCK SUPPER Thirty-one members and four visiting members attended a potluck supper at the Three Links Seniors on Tuesday evening. Previous .to the business meeting Mrs. Myrtle Sherritt entertained at the piano. The quilt which had been completed by members was displayed by Mrs. Dick Taylor and Gertie Moir. Irene Davis, newly -elected President of Zone 8 was introduced and gave a very interesting report of the Spring Rally she had attended in Brussels. A motion was passed to host the Fall Rally -in Hensall. Gertie Moir and Ruby Bell were in charge of the entertainment and, progressive Euchre was played with the following prizewinners: Ladies' high prize (pink card) Mrs. Alice Ferg; second prize, -Irene Blackwell; Lone Hands (pink cards), Evelyn McBeath; Men's high prize (white card), Alex McBeath; second prize (white card), Elsie Carlile; Lone Hands (white card), Dorothy Brintnell; Birthday nearest date, Pearl Taylor; Easter seal, David Blackwell. Since the meeting a bus trip to the Geritol Follies at the Massey Hall in Toronto on July 4 has been secured; 44 seats are available. • Blanche Chapman, London visited recently with her sister Mrs. Jack Corbett. Mr. and Mrs. Don MacLaren, Oakville Willowdale spent the Easter weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scott. Mrs. Beatrice Zemenich and daughter, Dearborn, Michigan spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Ken Scott. Mr. Jack Gilmour, Toronto spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Seldon Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Swan and family, London spent the weekend with Mt. and Mrs. Glenn Swan. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Burdge, Owen Sound spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Rick Burdge. Mrs. Irene Finlayson, Hensall spent Easter with Mrs. Vera Johnston. visited on the weekend with Don's mother Bertha MacGregor. Doug Mann is a patient in University Hospital, London. Pam Sangster returned to Timmins after spending the past week with her mother Mrs. Jneth Sangster and members of the family, Rev. Kenneth Knight conducted Easter service in Carmel Presbyterian Church. Dorothy Taylor presided at the organ and led the choir. Carolyn Love played two numbers on the organ. The service next Sunday will be at 10:15 a.m. A carload of P.C.W. attended First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth last Wednes- day evening and enjoyed the speaker very much. Vicki Mann of Toronto spent the weekend at her home here visiting with her mother and family also with her father Doug Mann who is a patient in University Hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Raeburn; Jamie and Benjamin, Coronation, Alberta are holiday- ing this week with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Slade and Glenn and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Raeburn and Chris. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lashley of Ottawa were Easter visitors with the latter's grandmother Hazel Luther. Charles Mickle, Hamilton visited over the Easter weekend with his mother Mrs. Laird Mickle. Mr. and Mrs. Paid Raeburn and Robert, " Toronto, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Raeburn and family, Parry Sound, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Raeburn and family, Coronation, Alta. visited during the Easter weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Raeburn and Chris. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Corbett and Mrs. Jack Corbett were guests with Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Morenz at Dashwood on Sunday. PLANT AUCTION Hensall and District Horticultural Society will hold its second meeting, Monday Apr. 30, at 8 p.m. at the Ifensall United Church. Guest speaker Jean McKee, will be speaking on Geraniums. There will also be a Plant Auction. QUEENSWAY NEWS Another busy week of activities has taken place at Queensway. Monday afternoon a sing -song was held for those wishing to sing some old-tyme songs. In the evening the Arnold Circle Evening Auxiliary of Carmel Presbyterian Church played bingo with the residents. On Tuesday morning, crafts were enjoyed by some of the residents. Tuesday afternoon Church service was conducted by Rev. Bob Matheson with Marjorie Johns at the piano. The Lakeview Conservative Youth also sang for residents. The monthly residents council meeting was held on Wednesday morning. In the afternoon treats for Easter re made. Thursday morning eggs were colored for Easter. More "Easter Goodies" were made at this time for the Easter Party. IOn Saturday evening was the Easter Party when games and treats were enjoyed by all the residents who attended. Due to the Good Friday holiday, bowling was cancelled for this week. Mr. and Mrs. Bill O'Brien, Todd and Stacey, Brigden spent Easter Sunday with Mrs. O'Brien's mother Evelyn Flynn and Gerald. There was an excellent attendance•at the Maupday Thursday Service at the United Church when Communion was received by the copgregation. Ushers for the evening were Larry Elder, Wayne Corbett, Jeff Corbett and John Rowciiffe. Over 100 people were up bright and early on Sunday morning to attend the Sunrise Service at the United Church. The Service wasconducted by Rev. McDonald, with Joyce Pepper at the piano. The breakfast, with Mary Brintnell in charge was orange juice, bacon, eggs, toast and coffee with volunteer helpers from the congregation and Roy Brock as the chief cook. Many members of the congregation of the United Church came in their Centennial dress on Sunday morning to celebrate Easter in this Centennial Year; the old-fashioned period costumes dotted the congregations.
