joined the U.C. at the service Sunday
morning led by Mr. Don Moffatt and Rev. J.

Virginia Hargreaves, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Brad Hargreaves.
The happy hour group sang and Rob
Adams played a trumpet solo. The choir sang
two anthems under the direction of Barbara
Livermore.
Bill Mickle of Exeter showed slides of his

Seaforth Happy Citizens met at Legion
Hall, Thursday Apr. 5. There were 13 tables
of euchre.
Winners were: ladie ' high, Christine
Souter; lone handst Mary Riley; low, Mary
Coleman; men's high, Harry Palin; lone
hands, Harvey Dolmage; low„ Gordon
Papple.

luncheon at the Queen's Maim. Wednes-
day,, Seniors' Day. A number or ilbarichan
residents were also present. Gary Boyle
entertained with country and 'western music
during the noon hour.
Obituaries
Residents : viewed a film on Russia
Thursday afternoon entitled- "Wings to
Russia" This was the ifirst time they have
seen a film of Russia and what a vast country
- it is.
Residents euchre was , cancelled on
Thursday 'afternoon but will be held on
Friday 'afternoon Apr: 13 at 2 p.m.

Margaret Cox of Oshawa and Grace Smith of
Seaforth.
Mrs. Carol Geddes attended a party at the
home of her daughter and son-in-law in
Dublin to celebrate the 45th wedding
anniversary of her parents Mr. and Mrs.
James Cameron of Sarnia. Also visiting
Carol , last Thursday was Mrs. Helen
Cameron of Wingham.
Lefinie$loomfiel1d enjoyed a fishing trip to
Goderich on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bolton visited with
Mr. and Mrs. Robert McClure and Finlay
Ross.
Mrs, Ruth Noll spent the weekend at her
home in Palmerston.
Mrs. Gladys Ruston, spent a day at her
home in Stratford.
Wayne Hedges "returned Saturday even-
ing from a twoweek vacation in Tampa,
Florida with his parents,' Wayne is sporting a
healthy tan from the sunny south.
We are sorry to report William Scott and
Bert Hendy are confined to Seaforth
'^Community Hospital.

at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, Mar.
30, She was 47.
Botn in East Wawanosh :Township, the
former Marjorie Elliott is survived .by her'
husband Donald Campbell, •formerly of
Belgrave; four sons, Bradley of -' Hythe,
Alberta; Scott of Medicine Hat, Alberta;
' Robert and Brent at home; one daughter,
Lisa, at home; and four grandchildren,
Twyla, Lionel, Derek, and Jamie Campbell.
Also surviving is one sister, Isabel, Mrs.
Bill MacPherson and one brother', Walter
Elliott of West Wawanosh. Township. She
was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and
. Mrs. Gordon Elliott and one brother
Mitchell. '

Flossie Elizabeth Jantzi of RR1, Dublin
died at the Seaforth CommunityHospital' on
Tuesday, Apr. 10. She was 69.
The former Flossie Stelck, she is 'survived
by her husbatid Aaron; twoisons,' Harold:of
Clinton; Fergus at home; one daughter; Joy,
Mrs. Alf Ross of Seaforth;'three sisters,
Mrs. Mae Davidson of Zurich; Mrs. Viola
Golding of London; Mrs. Dorothy Adams of
Mississauga; one brother Glenn Price ,,of
Clinton; eight grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held from the

Predeceased by his wife, the former Ida
Faulter in 1964, he is survived by one
daughter, Irene, Mrs. Melvin Omand of
Listowel; three sons, Clifton of Gorrie;
Harold of R.R.3, Listowel and Gordon of
Kitchener; one brother., Thomas Coulter of
Listowel; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grand-
children and eine great great grandson.
He was predeceased by one daughter,

Chapel;of the M.L. Watts Funeral Home on
Saturday, Apr. 7. Rev. Lloyd Martin
officiated.

husband Canon J.H. James, one tithe rector

,t • Surviving besides her husband George,
are three sons, Fred and his wife Diane of
Edmonton; Ed ,and his wife Pal of London;
and Howard and his :.wife Anne of
Bgmondville: Eight grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral service will'be held on Saturday,
Apr. 14,"at 2 p.m. at the Christ Anglican'
Church, Lion's Head. Interment Eastnor
Township Cenietery.

ANNA KENNEDY
Anna C. Kennedy of Mitchell died at the
Mitchell Nursing Home on Sunday, Mar. 18.
Born on July 13, 1899, she was 84.
A daughter of the late Peter H. McGrath
and Annie McQuaid of Hibbert Township,
she attended St. Columban Separate School
and Seaforth Collegiate Institute, She was
employed at the Geo. A. Sills Hardware
Storeprior to her marriage in 1929 to Angus
Kennedy of Tuckersmith. Her husband
predeceased her in 1971.
The late Mrs. Kennedy was a member of
the St. ColffInban Catholic Women's
League. She served as both an' executive
member and president.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary,
Mrs. Wm. Kinahan, of Wingham; Rita, Mrs.
Don Moylan, St. Columban; two sons, Lewis
of Stouffville and Father Gordon Kennedy,
C.S.B. of Toronto; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn
Schmittendorf, Buffalo, New York; Mary J.
McGrath, Toronto and Mrs. Margaret
Rafferty of Brantford; and 11 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one brother
Joseph in 1916' and one grandson Robert
Kinahan in 1977.
Mass of the Christian Burial was held on
Wednesday, Mar. 21 at the' St. Columban
Roman Catholic Church. Officiating were
Father Gordon Kennedy, C.S.B.; Father
P.A. Oostveen, 'Father F.A. Dentinger,
C.R.; Father Frank McCabe, C.S.B.; Father
A.R. Looby, C.S.B.; and Father John Malo,
C.S.B.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Wm. Kina-
han, Jr., Patrick -Moylan, Peter Kennedy,
Leo Kinahan, Paul Kennedy and ,Gordon
Kinahan.
Flowerbearers were' grandsons, John
Moylan and Michael Moylan.
Spring interment St. James Cemetery,
Seaforth.
CHARLOTTE LAUZON
Charlotte Lauzon, 49, of Stratford died
Tuesday, Apr. 3 at the Seaforth Community
Hospital.
Born in Vanzig, Germany, she was a
daughter of the late Fritz and Herta Prill.
Surviving are her husband Ronald, one
daughter, Michelle, one son, Mitchell, all at
home; two sisters, Christe) Wolyniuk, of
Woodstock and Edith, of Germany and'tthree
brothers, Helmet, of Kitchener, Peter, of
Austria and Alphonse, of Germany.
There was no funeral 'service or visitation
as requested by the deceased. Interment
Avondale Cemetery.
