Mrs. John Templeman attended the
annual meeting of the Royal Winter Fair in
Toronto this week.
Over 75 ladies enjoyed the dessert euchre
hosted by the Staffa Women's Institute this
week in the township hall. Guests were
present from the community, Seaforth,
Kippen, Hensel!, Hurondale, St. Marys,
Glen Gowrie, Carlingford and Goulds.
Mrs. John Drake is a patient in the
University Hospital, London,
Cameron Vivian is home again following a
stay in Seaforth Community Hospital.
Supper guests with Mr. and Mrs. Rob
Templeman, Carrah and Cain on Thursday
evening were Mr. and Mrs. John Temple-
man. The occasion was Cain's fourth
birthday. Saturday guests at the same home
were Mr. and Mrs. Hap Swatridge, Wing -
season of the. Dublin District Diamonds. The
trio, from left to right include; Lori Bruxer,
Lori Lynn Stapleton and Mark Van Dakel,
honored at
ham; Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Ebel, Stratford,

UCW MEETING
Hibbert United Church Women met in the
family life centre on Wednesday, Mar. 14
with Mrs. Margaret Christie presiding at the
piano.
Mrs. Florence McPhail and Mrs. Ilia
Barker were in charge of the devotions and
program dealing with the second chapter of
the study book "Jesus Means Life".
Mrs. Margaret Daynard presided for the
business with Mrs. Verle Mahon recording
secretary. A box is to be placed in the church
to receive donations of used eye glasses,
which are to be forwarded to the Blind
Mission,

lunctlon with St, Patrick's Day, which was
celebrated by Dublin residents on Saturday,

Dow reported on the Presbyterial, regarding
the coming special event in Wingham in
April, also a United Church Women's Day at
Camp Bimini in early June. Mention was.
made of the visit of Bishop Low and wife from
India.
Mrs. Dorothy Dow reported on the official
board meeting.
Everyone was reminded of the Cancer tea
in Main Street United Church, Mitchell on
Saturday, Mar. 31.
A decision was made to give two crib quilts
to the Salvation Army.
Mrs. Dorothy Dow and Mrs. Margaret
Miller were a committee named to investi-
gate the purchase of some type of sofa for the
Family Life Centre.
A hymn and the Benediction closed the
meeting followed by a social hour with Mrs.
Ada Pethick and Mrs. Joy Dearing hostesses. '

The Women's Program
This program was created to
support women's voluntary associations
working in fields of particular interest to
women. Through it, the Secretary of State
Department makes grants and other
resources available to women groups to
develop projects that will contribute to
community education and action around
status of women issues. Program staff are
available as resource persons for infor-
mation and project assistance. They also
develop and distribute print material.
More than $1.1 million was spent in Ontario
on the Women[ Program 1982/1983.
The Women Program has regional offices
in Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton, London,
