On Friday, Feb. 24 Jack and Anne Vader
attended the. Canada Paokhrs.Inc. Annual
Safe Driving Awards Evening held at the
Harriston Legion. °Drivers received awards ,
for their safe driving, accident -free years'

ac comp fled by Jim and Barb Fritz, again'travelled. to Harriston to curl in the meed'
bonspielnt the curling club sponsored by
Canada Packers.Inc Maple Leaf Club. The
spiel was well attended and may become on
• annual event. The couples did not bring'
home the grand prize but a good time was
had by all just the same.
• LINE INFORMATION MEETING
A.liue meeting was 'held at' the home of
Mr: and MM. ',Bert Sanders for the 6th. of
Morris, Tuesday, • Feb. 28 at 1, p,m. 'There
were 17 interested citizens present.' Wayne
Caldwell chaired the meeting. These meet-
ings pertain to land severances, pits ane. -
quarries, building permits; foreign towner -
ship and so on. This leads up to secondary
plans for the township. Thera was a
discussion on each one of the topics.
ETHEL 1 QUILTING BEE'S
The third•-meetingg of the Quilting Bee's
• was held at Pam McLellan's on March -I. The
president Lori Terpstra took' care of the
business. Members read color selection in
the book and then picked the material for the
choosing prints activity and; started the
string quiltipg sample. Samples are to be
finished and in the books neat week.
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH NEWS
On Sunday, Mab, Rev. Douglas Black
will be preachin4. A social hour will follow.
A good attendance would be appreciated.
