they will,be contacted March 30. The Hensen
Public School held their winter Carnival on
Friday Mat. 2 and will present a Centennial

The neat meeting will be held in Hensall

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER SERVICE,
The World lay of Prayer Service 'was held
'in Carmel Presbyterian Church, Friday^M'ar.
2 at 2 p.m. with the president of the
Dorothy Taylor presiding.
Joyce Pepper presided at the piano for the
singing of the hymns. Diane Baskoro, of
Lucan played her accordian for two numbers
and. Mrs. Taylor led ,the first part of the
service assisted by Helen Scane, Dorothy
"Parker and Evelyn Flynn.

Another full week of activities:00k place' at
Queensway Nursing Home. Monday after-
noon started out with bingo with the Kippen
Ladies Group.
Tuesday.morning was the scene of•ratiing
ball and ying bean bags as residents ;got
involved in geri-bowling and the bean bag
toss. Our. Tuesday afternoon Church• gervice
was conducted by Rev. Kenneth Knight,'and
was assisted by Blanche Dougall at Rhee p'.isno.
Thursday afternoon everyone enjoyed. a
"Trip across Canada" when they viewed a
movie taken by helicopter flying. over die '
country.
Friday morning was our bowling day: Neil
Regan was the high bowler for the day:'

The new project is stripquiltin`g. The

to be 5 cm and placed in the centre o Mop of

Mrs. Carl Payne is a patient in University
Hospital, London, where she is expecting to
undergo surgery.
Unit 4 met in the church parlor' on
Thursday, Mar. 1 with 15 members, . Nan
Britton opened by reading a verse and Mary
Roobol conducted the devotional. Volunteers
were asked to attend Westminster College
Weekend or Alma College School -fr
Women.
Elva Forrest gave the study. She spoke•
about the people of Hepa,I where literacy is
only about 20 per cent and told a story of how
an old, bent -up woman helped a blind
younger woman.

in•Brucefield School on Mar. 3 with well over

Fridays have been a busy time at the
Branch because shuffleboard is a bigsuccess;
players gre now in the finals. Thanks to Pete

' The next General meeting will be Mar. 14.
At the Ladies' Auxiliary meeting in
February the Zone Commander, Mary Hawn
made her annual visit. 20 members attended
this meeting. A donation of S25 was given to
the Battered Women's Centre in Goderich.
