Competing against 12 teams ; across Ontario, from schools with a population of 609 or less, Seaforth will be playing against teams from schools twice the size in many cases, says coach Terry Johnston. "I think that's quite an outstanding feat." Ranked sixth going into the competition, Seaforth should have a chance at winning a medal, says the coach. "Last'year, we lost the -bronze medal game and leaded up fourth. Our goal this year is making it to the medal round," he says. "If the` boys want to play, they can make it hard on anyone." ' "We're a short team so we have trouble with tall teams but our strongest point.is we work hard as a team. We've beat teams a lot better than us because we'veouthastled them." The third time to OFSAA for three of the pplayers and the -first trip for three' players, Mr. Johnston says the team has good depth - "People in the areahave an opportunity -to see some excellent basketball just a few miles away. Because most of the tournaments have been so far away this year, they haven't had that opportunity," says Mr. Johnston, co -convener of the championship.
