the BiCentennial supper are not complete.

United Church and anyone wishing to serve
on the committee'•would' be welcome.
Members are invited to wear period dress.
Members are reminded that their 1984
memberships are due. This year there will
be three early bird draws (April, May,
June), prizes being 525 gift certificate from
Hildebrand Flowers and Bi -centennial rose
bushes,

they learned a new community .centre was
being 'planned for Seaforth and area. As the
result of money ralsed through quilting, the
group has raised $7,006 far the new Seaforth
and Dietrtct Community Centres: The total
includes approximately. $1400. for kitchen
equipment Including a freezer,, potable
telephone, 16 coffee .and tea pots, three
cooking kettles, twb roasting pane and a

Secondary School in Clinton, and of Huron
Centennial School in Brucefield.

A resident at the Norview Home for
Aged, Simcoe, Nelson Govenlock died.
Monday, Feb: 6 following a lengthy iline
He was 87.
Born in §eaforth, he was a son of the late
J.M. Govgnlock and Eden Hayes. He was
predecea+Sed-by his wife Clare Sproat, three
brethers and three sisters.
Surviving are tido daughters, Lois, Mrs,
ar Blayee ,.of.Kltchener; Joani Mrs. Al
ras r, of Calgary; eight grandchildren; two
s e . dith, Mrs. Bryon Brown of Toronto
and Beth, Mrs. Sam Phillips of Seaforth.
Funeral service and committal was held
from the Whitney-Rlbey Funeral Home,
Seaforth on Thursday. Feb. 9. Interment
Maitlandbank Cemetery.

Ted Mitchell of Markham; one son Gerald

Brussels Chapel of M.L. Watts Funeral
Home on Thursday. Feb. 9. Rev. Charles
Henderson officiated. Interment Fordwich
Cemetery.
