The market at Brussels Stockyards
traded actively to the weeks' decline. Cows
sold higher, feeder pigs traded sharply
higher. There were 661 cattle and 694 pigs
on offer.
Choice steers -82.00 to136.00 with sales to
90.75.
Good Steers -79.00 to 82.00.
A steer consigned by Jerry Abbott of R.R.
#4 St. Thomas weighing 1140 lbs. sold for
90.75 with his total offering of six steers
averaging 1086 lbs. selling for an 'average

Church Sunday School. Belgrave, was held
Thursday evening in the Sunday School
room. •
Rev. John G. Roberts opened the meeting
and the minutes of last year's annual
meeting were read by secretary. Paul
McKee.
it was decided to send an extra 5150. gift
to the Foster Parents Plan with the
stipulation that the ,gift is used only in a
community project.
As has been customary for many years the
collection from the first Sunday of the month
is to go to the Mission and Service Fund of
the church.
The Sunday School anniversary will be
held again in mid-June with the final date
depending on the guest speaker.

Feb.

The Jan. meeting of the WMS was held at
the home of Mrs. Jack McBurney on
Mpnday, Jan. 16. •

Mrs. McBurney read the scripture and
Mrs. Mac Scott read a meditation on Hope,
Mrs. Victor Yonngblut gave a reading on the
theme and Mrs. George Fear led in prayer.
The secretary and treasurer gave their
reports and the year end review.
Mrs. ivy Cloakey gave the topic on the
Indians of the North West Territories.
Mrs. Nicholson closed with prayer.
Ten tables were in play at the weekly
euchre at the WI Hall Wednesday, Jan. 18.
