Novices -continue to win

The Seaforth ' Novice team finished -1983
with a win and started 1984 with a win on
Dec. 31.
Mitchell travelled to Seaforth and suffered
a loss of 9-0. The boys played a• good game
and didn't give Mitchell 'a chance on net.
• Scoring fbr Seaforth was Scott Jervis with
four goals, Mike Watt. three, Mike Dever-
eaux one and Mike Moylan one. Assists
went to John Moylan three, Mike Coyne,
Kevin Vandenneuker two, Mike Watt,. Mike
-Moylan. Mike Devereaux and TAer Papple.
On Jan. 7 the Clinton* team; came to
Seaforthtand received their first loss, of the
season. It was a great game as all the
spectators were rooting for their team:
)doth teams played hard •hockey but
Seaforth came out ahead 3-2. Great work
was done by goalie John Moylan and ail
defensemen.
Scoring for Seaforth were Mike Watt, two
goals and one assist and Derek Gridzak'one
goal. Assists also went to Mike Moylan.

A ' Seaforth rink travelled to Hanover
Sunday, Jan. 22 in the second round of the
O:C.A, mixed competition of district 13A -B.
The team composed of Gord Pryce, Skip,
Irma Pryce, vice, John Patterson Jr. second
and Marie iyvicGavin lead, had earned a berth
in the second round,by defeating Goderich in
their last game op Jan. 15 in Teeswater.
The rink lost its first game to Dave
Cobean's rink from Port Elgin and ,Keith
Robinson's rink from Harriston in the second
game. Heavy ice conditions were apparently
a strong factor in their losses.
The winter carnival weekend participation
by the Burling club proved

Seaforth was Mike Watt.
On Jan 18 Brussels returned•to Seaforth
and defeated, our boys 2.1. Scoring for
Seaforth was Mike ,Wait: -
On Jan. 20 Seaforth travelled to Milverton
and played a very good game. The boys were
skating and checking much better than in the
revious two games and defeated Milverton
3.0.
Scoring for Seaforth were Mike Watt with
two goals and Mike Coyne one. ASsists went
to Matthew McNichol, "Derek Gridzak and
Kevin Vandepneuker. Steven Hicknell play-
ed a good game 4n goal.
On Jan. 21 Seaforth boys travelled to
Mitchell and played a close game all the
way. Seaforth came out on the top with a 2-0
winJo.
hn' Moylan played great in goal with a
few nice glove saves. The goaltenders this
year have only let in 16 goals in 17 games.
