, The annual meetingsf the Ladies Aid of
Knox Presbyterian Church was held on Jan.
11 at the home of Mrs; John Vanass with 11
attending. President, Mrs. Jim Hart opened
the meeting with a reading and "Standing at
the portal' was sung.
The minutes were read by Mrs. Stuart
Stevensme and the treasurer's kepc)rt by
Mrs. Clare Veitch.
Changes were made in the Church
cleaning list. It was decided to have a garage
sate again this year And also quilting.
Mrs. Stevenson gave several teidin
including "A New Year's like a bag of mail"
and a poem by Helen Steiner Rice.
Other readings pertaining to New Years
were enjoyed . • The Mizpah benediction
dosed this part of the meeting.
The election of officers was held with Mrs.
Hart chairmanand Mrs. Stevenson acting as
secretary. The following are the officers for
1984.
President, Mrs. Hart; Vice -Pres., Mrs.
Leslie Knight Secretary, Mrs. Stevenson;
Treasurer, Mrs. Veitch; Auditors -Mrs, Mac
Engel, Mrs. Vanass.
Mrs. Leslie Knight 'presided for a brief
meeting of the WMS when flowers and
shrubs for the church were discussed.
The annual meeting of Stratford Presby-
terial was announced for Jan. 17 in Knox
Pres. Church. Stratford, at 600 a.m. and 1
p.m.
