evening. Jim Maloney and Ann Kelly

Connie and Ed De Jong are the proud
parents of a baby girl born Dec. 17f 3. She
is the seventh grandchild for Mr. and Mrs.
Dirk Brink of R.R. 1 Newton; formerly of
Brodhagen, and second grandchild for Mr.
and Mts. Jack De Jong of Blyth. Congratula-
tions are extended to the parents and
grandparents.
The family of the late Katie Querengesser
placed a poinsettia in the chancel of St.
Peter's Lutheran Church in memory of their
mother, who passed away a year ago. There
were also baskets o flowers from the funeral
of the late Ed Go kin.
Lorne Wilson. of Brodhagen returned
home from University Hospital on Monday.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jackson of Stratford
spent Christmas Day with Mr. and --Mrs.
Charles Scherbarth antifamily. They braved
the weather .• and,raantiged to arrive here
before the roads closed. but•were stormstay-
ed a few days. Mr. and Mrs. August Scher-
barth were guests also.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leonhardt. Colleen
and Jim Brown of Thamesford arrived a day
late at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Dietz
and family but still got stormed in.

Ahrens all of'Burlington had their Christmas
with Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Ahrens Dec. 27
and remained a few days.
