MERRY CHRISTMAS
Christmas seen through eyes of children
ABY JESUS
BY VERONICA GLA1 VILLE
and STEVEN JEFFERSON
Mary and Joseph
Were travelling to Bethlehem
Slowly walking along.
Mary was tired,
And needed a place to rest,
She was going to have a baby
Before too long.
They finally found a little inn.
But the owner said "I can't let you in."
But there's a stable around by the back.
Mary had a little babe in the noisy stable,
The baby's name was Jesus,
And he grew to be a king,

Joys that are shared with girls and boys,

And wish we would receive our favorite dolly.

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
BY BARBARA GLANVILLE
Twas the night before Christmas. All
through the puppy house, not a puppy was
stirring, not even a' louse. The puppies all
nestled all snug in their little baskets, while
visions of doggie bones danced through their
little heads. While Mama in her kerchief and 1
in my cap, had settled our ears for a long
winters nap when out on the verandah arose
such a clatter, i sprang from my puppy basket
to see what was the matter. It wasn't the
puppies. It wasn't the cat. But it Was puppy
Santa Claus and his ten little mice Olive,
Scratch, Claw, Gus, Jack, Screech, Shorty,
Tall, Skinny, Chubs, Fatso. He brought in all
the presents. He set them under the tree, and
poof away he went again, with Olive. Scratch,
Claw, Gus, Jack, Screech, Shorty, Tall,
Skinny, Chubs and Fatso. In the morning first
the puppies woke up because of excitement,
and then the parents woke up because of the
barking. They went down stairs and saw the
puppies opening all the presents. Boy did
they ever get in trouble! The parents made
them wrap up all the presents. They had a
very happy Christmas. The End

MY TRIP TO PEPPERMINTVILLE
BY TINA BOSMAN •
It was the day 1 had to go to Peppermint-
ville.
"Mom mom th'e bus is here lhave to go now
bye." So 1 put my luggage on the bus and
started towards Peppermintville.
It was late when I got there and the houses
were all decorated with glowing candy canes,
marshmallows; gum drops, smarties and
cookies. '
Grandma was waiting at the bus stop for
me. "Come on Tina. The fun begins at
midnight."
There were floats, tin soldiers, dancing
bears and dolls that said mama, mama. We
got to eat Peppermintville houses. After
everyone went home and went to bed 1 stayed
with grandma and the next day 1 got on the
bus and headed back home with my pockets
full of candy.
