All through the puppy house, not a puppy was stirring, not even a' louse. The puppies all nestled all snug in their little baskets, while visions of doggie bones danced through their little heads. While Mama in her kerchief and 1 in my cap, had settled our ears for a long winters nap when out on the verandah arose such a clatter, i sprang from my puppy basket to see what was the matter. It wasn't the puppies. It wasn't the cat. But it Was puppy Santa Claus and his ten little mice Olive, Scratch, Claw, Gus, Jack, Screech, Shorty, Tall, Skinny, Chubs, Fatso. He brought in all the presents. He set them under the tree, and poof away he went again, with Olive. Scratch, Claw, Gus, Jack, Screech, Shorty, Tall, Skinny, Chubs and Fatso. In the morning first the puppies woke up because of excitement, and then the parents woke up because of the barking. They went down stairs and saw the puppies opening all the presents. Boy did they ever get in trouble! The parents made them wrap up all the presents. They had a very happy Christmas.
