Open leadership
Ontario Progressive Conservative leader-

open leadership if he becomes premier.
Mr. Timbrell is the first of four Tories
seeking the leadership to visit Perth County
recently. He is hoping to succeed Premier
William Davis. '
Mr. Timbrell was in Stratford to speak to
the Perth PC delegates and alternates, as
well as representatives of the pork industry.
"The main thing I will stress (to the
delegates) is the type of leadership," he said.
If'elected leader at the Jan. convention in
Toronto, Mr. Timbrell said he would like to

Ron Richards and past chairman Howard
Shantz for the position.
Mr. Hammond, 51, said he would like to
see more members of the public in
attendance at the board meetings and he
would like to see the board bejnore open in
the coming year. He said if people want to
make presentations to the board, they should
call the administration offices and make
arrangements.
There is more room for the public to attend
board meetings as the inaugural meeting
marked the board's first meeting in the
"education centre" at 210 Water Street in
Stratford, he said.
Mr. Hammond said the education centre is
