DEDICA TED SERVICE—Albert Hildebrand
of Chalk Street was recently awarded a
plaque by Harry Watts, Safety Director for
the bus firm of United Trails incorporated.
Mr. Hildebrand, a bus driver for the company
for 29 years, received the plaque for
dedicated service. He retired on April 30.
One of the lobs he carried out between his
work of driving school buses and special tour
buses for groups was assisting In Instructing

Local Manor residents
participate in fair
Birthday greetings last week to Edith Salo
who celebrated her 75th birthday on Friday
and to Earl Watt who celebrated his,80th
birthday Wednesday.
Residents attended the Seaforth Fall Fair
parade on Friday morning and all had a good
view, with chairs courtesy of the Clarence
Maloney family. Ken Holmes also took a
picture of the residents tor Cable TV.
In the afternoon Jackie Racho drove her
van and took residents over to the,fair.
The horse races were most popular with all
and Mary Finlayson accompanied residents.
On Wednesday, afternoon, Rev. Archie
Robertson conducted, worship service at 2
p.m. Special musical numbers were sang by
Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn Lobb of' Clinton.
On Thursday, Mary Finlayson hosted the
Sept. RASP meeting at Seaforth Health Care
Facility. Guest speaker for the afternoon was
Jim Millington of Elgin Manor, St. Thomas.
Eighteen members were present and they
included recreationists employed by nursing
homes, rest homes, homes for the aged,
chronic, rehabilitations and psychiatric hos-
pitals in London and surrounding area.
Bingo was held on. Tuesday afternoon.`
Lucky winners were Eva Netzke, Margeurite
Shill, Maxine Elliott, Carole Geddes, Doris
Smith, Patrick Ryan, Erle Dow and Harold
Walsh.
The euchre club starts on Thursday
afternoon at 2 p.m. Volunteers are most
welcome to come and assist the residents.
The annual fall bazaar will be held Nov. 3
and residents are busy making articles for it.
Nita Scroggs and Gregory visited with
Madge Remes and Diane Swirkles,
Jack Moore attended the Seaforth Fall Fair
parade with daughter Wendy and attended
the fair with daughter Trudy.
Ruth Noll spent the weekend at her home in
Palmerston.
Seven ACW ladies honored
The ACW of St. Thomas Anglican Church
started their new year with a pot luck supper
and by honoring seven ladies for their long
service to the ACW. The ladies were: Elsie
Dinsmore, Carrie McGavin, Inez Spittal, Eva
Brown, Mrs. Dave Netzke, Clara Pretty and
Margaret Case.
A short meeting was held and two poems
were read by Shirley Dinsmore, followed by a
sing song of favorite hymns with Nancy
Larone at the piano.
Plans were made for the Christmas Bazaar
to be held on Saturday, Nov. 17 in the Parish
Hall.
