Whether it's a rambling song, a love song, a cheatin' song or a "I've been away and I've had a gutful" song, country and western music keeps toes tapping as the singers tell their stories. The play takes place in the Commodore Hotel, a typical small town establishment authentic down to the cardboard Age of Majority sign written in black magic marker. The owner, George, played by Robert Nasmith, has dreams of making the hotel into a classy night spot with big name bands instead of the local watering hole it is now. Only the storm -stayed politician and his girlfriend, the band and the locals make it to the hotel and an impromptu jam session follows. Like all good musicals, the cha:'acters seem to best express themselves in the songs. Songs were written by Ted Johns and John Roby.
