Wheelchair residents, under the supervis- ion of Ruth Nolan enjoyed an outing to the Pizza Train on Tuesday afternoon for an ice-cream cone. A picnic barbecue was held on the patio on Friday for noon followed by Bingo in the activity room at 2 p.m. Winners for Bingo were Charles Ross x3, Eva Netzke, Norma Streets x2, Alfie Sykes, Harold Walsh, Keith Herman, Nelson Hall, Maxine Elliott while Doris Smith and Iia Gardner tied for full house. Gladys Ruston spent Sunday at her home in Stratford, Mary Lamont visited her cousin Kelly. Residents were saddened to learn of the death of fellow resident Ross Houghton who passed away on Sunday, Aug, 26. Ross had been a long time resident at Seaforth Health Care Facility. His funeral services were held from Mb Young Funeral Home, Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday -afternoon at 3 p.nt. Birthday greetings last Tuesday to Ruth Noll who celebrated her birthday. , 4 meeting of the New Horizons group w as held on Monday afternoon and all members were informed of the progress to date, 1 atest purchase was a,ghetto blaster to be used for music indoors or out and for taping programs. Two huckleberry plants which were donated are now over four feet high and loaded with berries. Later on this fall when the berries are ripe the ladies baking class hope to 'make some pies for all to sample. Our thanks to Mrs. Don Haines of Auburn for the plants. Residents have cared for the flower gardens by watering when needed and till annuals are blooming profusely. The sun- flowers planted by former resident Wayne Hedges now stand over 6 feet in height. .
