FAMILY -
BARBARA ANN HYMERS
Barbara Ann Hyrners of Clinton died at the
Clinton Public Hospital on Saturday. Aug. 4.
She was 41.
She is survived by her husband Maynard
Hymens; two children Brenda and Brad both
at home. Also surviving are her parents
Edward and Dorothy Layton of Clinton; two
brothers Douglas of Wingham and Wayne of
RR 4, Seaforth.
Funeral service was held at the Ball and
Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton on -Monday.
Aug. 6. Interment in Clinton Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to
the Clinton Public Hospital Building Fund or
the Canadian Cancer Society would be
appreciated.
MARY ELLEN SWAN
Mary Ellen Swan of Brucefieid died at
Huronview, Clinton on Sunday. Aug. 5. She
was 93.
Predeceased by her parents James and
Janet Swan, she is survived by a sister. Alice
Mrs. Clarence Ham of Brucefield. one niece
Patricia. Mrs. Bert Mullin of Dundas and
two nephews, Wesley Ham.of Huntsville and
Dr. William Swan Jr. of Guelph.

Funeral service will be held at the Ball and
Falconer Funeral Home, Clinton on Wednes-
day. Aug. 8 at 2 p.m. Interment in Baird's
Cemetery. Stanley Township.
JAMES LANGFORD
James David Langford of Lucan died at
University Hospital. London on Saturday.
Aug. 4. He was two.
He was ' a son of Earl Langford and
Rosemarie Smale of Lucan. Also surviving
are his grandparents Dalton and Kay Smale
of Dublin and Mabel Langford of Exeter;
several aunts and uncles.
Funeral service was held at the C. Haskett
and Son Funeral Home. Lucan on Tuesday.
Aug. 7, Rev. Bruce Pocock of Holy Trinity
Anglican Church. Lucan officiated. Inter-
ment in St. James Cemetery. Clandeheyc.
ROYCE SCOTT MACALULAY
Royce Scott Macaulay. 69, of Clinton died
in Clinton Public Hospital on July 29.
The former president of the Clinton Lions
Club, member of Royal' Canadian Legion.
Clinton Branch no, 140, and member of the
Clinton Lodge was the president and owner
of Ball Macaulay Building Supplies.
He was born to Malcolm Angus Macaulay
and Mary Alice (Pendergast) Macaulay in
Southampton in July 1915. In 1941 he
married Clara Edith Ball at the old Ball
residence in Clinton.
He- is survived by one daughter, Mary
(Mrs. Gerald Black) of Georgetown and two
sons. Douglas of Clinton and Scott of
Goderich. He is also survived by two sisters;
i-filda (Mrs. Bert Gosney) of Siloam Springs,
Arkansas and Ada (Mrs. William Hintz) of
Birmingham. Michigan.
He is predeceased by six sisters and one
brother.
A funeral service was held on July 31 at
the Ball and Falconer Funeral Home. Rev.
T.A.A. Duke of St. Andrews Presbyterian
Church in Clinton presided.
The funeral and committal services were
held at the funeral home and the cremation
took place at Woodland Crematorium in
London. It was followed by the interment of
ashes in Clinton Cemetery. The funeral
director was Ball and Falconer Funeral
Home.
REG ALJBIN
Maxima Regis (Reg) Aubin died at the
Seaforth Community Hospital on Thursday,
Aug. 2. He was 64.
Surviving besides his wife Helen Maloney
Aubin of RR 2, Seaforth, are two sons.
Jerome of London and Joseph of Seaforth;
one daughter. Mary, Mrs, Keith Knechtal of
Stratford; two grandchildren Michael and
Jason.
Also survived by his mother Marie Aubin
of Seaforth; six brothers. Pat of Alberta.
Orval of Breslau, Victor of Kitchener, Andre
of Cambridge. Lloyd of Goderich and John of
Seaforth; three sisters Armelda Fulford of
Clinton, Veronica Meidinger of Seaforth and
Roseanne McNichol of Seaforth. Prede-
ceased by his father Alex and three sisters.
Resting at the R. S. Box Funeral Home.
Seaforth, funeral service was held at St.
James Roman Catholic Church. Mass of the
Christian Burial was held on Monday. Aug. 6.
Interment in St. James Roman Catholic
Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations can
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
WALLACE POWELL
Wallace Powell of Clinton' died at the
Clinton Public Hospital on Sunday. Aug. 5.
He was 86.
Predeceased by his wife, the former Nellie
Watkins. he is survived by two sons William
of Mitchell and John M. of Clinton; one
daughter Kathleen. Mrs. Ted Ryder of
Hamilton; three grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. Also survived by one sister
Charlotte. Mrs. William McDowell of Sea -
forth and two brothers George and Arthur
both of Seaforth.
He was predeceased by two sisters and
three brothers.
Funeral service was held at the Ball and
Falconer Funeral Home. Clinton on Tuesday,
Aug. 7. interment in Clinton Cemetery.
Manor residents cool off --
with ice cream cones
Wheelchair residents of Seaforth Health
Care Facility enjoyed an outing Tuesday
afternoon to the Pizza Train. for ice cream
cones.
Wednesday afternoon Bingo winners
were: under the B. Jim Nolan; 1. Keith
Herman: N. Elmer Bakcsy; G. Maxine
Elliott: 0, Erie Dow: X. Gladys Ruston, four
corners, Gladys Ruston and Carol Geddes:

Maxine Elliott.
The resident council monthly meeting was
held Thursday with 29 residents present.
Residents are looking forward to going to the
• Blyth Summer Theatre to We 'Cake Walk"
on Saturday. and will visit the African Lion
Safari the middle of the month.
The weekly barbecue was held on
Thursday. Hot-dogs and hamburgers were
served. Films were shown in the afternoon.
PERSONALS
Helen Cameron visited Carol Geddes.
Mary Lamont visited with Kelly Lamont.
Patrick Ryan was visited by his sister
Kathleen and husband Dave and family from
Michigan.
Isabel Scott visited her husband Bill.
Mass was celebrated on Friday with
Father Caruana from St. James Catholic
Church.
Activities in full swing
KILBARCHAN NOTES

Monday was exercise day. We normally
go outside on the lawn if weather permits.
Tuesday was bingo day and as ucua!, uc
had a good turnout. Jim Baker was a w,nner
on a full card, and the two single games sere
won by Alma Nottingham and Arnie Feltz
Congratulations.
Oa Wednesday. nine of our residents had
luncheon at the Queen's Hotel We had
chicken and pork chops a lovely meal We
all enjoyed it very much and I was asked by
all of the residents to thank the dry\ ers for
their help.
We were o'•' 'n on Thursday and
were served ley were welcome
on such a humid day
On Friday Marty Bedard brought us two
frhns "Ride the Gentle Breeze" and ' Arctic
Outpost". Thank von Marts.

Happy birthday to Edward Wilusz. who
celebrated his birthday on Aug. 2.
Ruby and Grace Anderson had tys-o visitors
last Thursday. A cousin, Grace McClinchey
and an aunt. Catherine Robinson called.
Mr and Mrs. W.D. Wilson were also here
on Thursday. They came to see both Olivers
and Charles MacKay.
The Turnbull Clan. continued: my grand-
father Robert came from Dunipace. Scot-
land. to McKillop. where he bought land. He
built a home. and then returned to Scotland
to marry Janet Ressefi. They had three
daughters and eec son. George. my father.

CAMERON DENNIS
Cameron Dennis, of North Bay, died
Wednesday, Aug. 1 in the North Bay Civic
Hospital. He was 80.
Born in McKillop Township, he was the
son of the late John Dennis and the former
Mary Ross. He was married in 1938 to Pearl.
Tapp and worked for the Ontario Northland
Railroad until his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, one brother,
Elmer, of Seaforth, two sisters, Ethel Dennis
and Jessie, Mrs. Stanley Hiller. of Seaforth
and several nephews and nieces. He was
predeceased by four brothers and two
sisters.
Funeral services were held on Friday,
Aug. 3 at Martyns Funeral Home in North
Bay.
EDWIN BENNEWIES
Edwin Norman Bennewies of Seaforth died
at the Seaforth Community Hospital on
Friday, Aug. 3. He was 72.
He is survived by his wife the former Susan
Neabel; six sons Ralph of Seaforth, Keith of
Cambridge, Wayne of Dashwood, Barry of
Stratford, Roger of London and Daniel of
Staffa, four daughters Shirley Dale, Seaforth,
Mavis Wilds of Crediton, Joanne Knights of
Egmondville and Bonnie Holcombe of Grand
Prairie, Alberta.
Also survived by four sisters Lavina, Mrs.
Bill Spender and Ella, Mrs. Ernie Hartji both
of Detroit; Sylvia, Mrs. Peter Krus of
Ruthven, Evelyn, Mrs. Elwood Smart of
Windsor; three brothers Clarence of Mitchell
Irvin of Woodstock and Glen of Windsor; 33
grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on Monday,
Aug. 6. lntermeht in Maitlandbank Cemetery
Seaforth.
GEORGE MOORE
George R. Moore of Strathroy, died at the
Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on
Sunday, July 29. He was 68,
Surviving besides his wife, the former
Jean McLean are one daughter June, Mrs.
John Ball of Seaforth and one son, James, of
Strathroy. Also surviving are five grand -
chi dren, Susan, Michael and Andrew Ball
and Evelyn and Russel Moore. One sister
Ruby Hippie of Strathroy also survives.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 31
at the Denning Brothers Funeral Home,
Strathroy. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery.
GEORGE ELLACOT'T
George Harvey Ellacott of Cambridge died
at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on
Sunday, July 29. He was 49.
Born in Brussels, he had lived in
Cambridge for the past 15 years and was an
assistant supervisor with the City of
Cambridge Community Service department.
Predeceased by his parents William
Ellacott and Mary Pratt of Brussels; he is
survived by his wife, the former Muriel
Routley; three sons Brian and Ken both of
Cambridge and David at home.
Also surviving are two sisters, Violet
Smith of Seaforth; Laura, Mrs. Charlie
Fischer of Brussels; two brothers, Clarence
of Alberta and Howard of Listowel; and
several nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by one brother Elmer of
Stratford and one sister, Evelyn, Mrs. John
Jeffery of Goderich.
Funeral service was held at the Nelson
Funeral Home, Cambridge, on Wednesday,
Aug. 1. Interment in Kirkton Cemetery,
WILEA SI3AVALIER
Born in Ashtebula, Ohio, Wilba Shavalier
of Seaforth and formerly of Port Stanley,
died at the Seaforth Community Hospital on
Wednesday, Aug. 1. She was 78.
She was predeceased by her husband,
Albert Shavalier in July, 1984 and her
parents, Dr. John A. and ,Mara Dickson;
three sisters and two brothers. She was a
granddaughter of the late Allen F. Phillips, a
former station agent in Seaforth.
Surviving are one daughter, Mara, Mrs.
Stuart Phillips of RR4, Seaforth and one son,
Dean of London. Also survived by seven
grandchildren 'rnd 12 great grandchildren.
At the request of the family, there was no
visitation at the funeral home. Funeral
arrangements were made by the Whitney-
Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth. Interment in
Edge. ood Cemetery, Ashtebula, Ohio.
