Behind the scenes at The Huron Expositor you'll find a
busy group of people working together to produce the
newspaper you read every week.
There is more that goes into the newspaper than most of
us realize. Every story, headline and advertisement must
be typeset, proofread and then placed on a page in a
particular order
The time and personal attention that is given td each story
and advertisement is what gives The Huron Expositor its
tidy and easy to read format.
The newspaper you are holding is the result of the efforts
put forth by the Expositor's Production Department. If
y would like to contribute any news tips or photography
idea please CALL The Expositor at 52760240.

Students (earn
how to groom
a horse
BY NANCY WEBSTER
The grade 6B class of Huron Centennial
School went on a field trip on Thursday. May
24.
The class started out at approximately 9:30
with Mr. Walker and Mrs. Wood supervis-
ing. The first stop was to Flower's stables just
south of Clinton on Hwy. #4.,
Lynn Flowers showed the class the stables.
She demonstrated how to groom a horse and
how to saddle up.
We then went into the arena where Miss
Flowers and Carrie Schmidt (who rides
there) showed us some jumps.
Next we headed over to Penhale's Wagon
Works near Bayfield. Mr. Penhale is the
owner and builder.
Mr. Penhale took the class to his barn
where we saw two of his five horses (Doc and
Mike).
Mr. Penhale is now making a wagon which
will go to Illinois.
Later we went into Mr. Lindsay's Leather
Shop just beside Mr. Penhale's home.
Mrs. Penhale refreshed the class with
delicious cookies and Kool-Aid. The class
learned a lot and enjoyed the trip.
