MIZiHIY CHRISTMAS — Seaforth Brownies recently donated a
number of stuffed animals to the Family and Children's Services
Christmas Bureau, aided in town by the Lioness Club. Linda Arlin,
seen in the middle of the pack accepted the toys. Brownies are,

Rev. Barber conducts worship
Residents have been busy with different
' activities at the Seaforth Health Care Facility.
Tuesday morning the Junior volunteers
from Seaforth Public School assisted with
wheelchair howling and bean bag toss.
Wednesday'dtev. Barber of First Presbyter-
ian Church conducted worship service with
Henrietta Brown playing for the hymns and
carols.
Rev. Cheryl Ann Stadelbauer•Sampa had
visitation with tht' residents on Thursday
morning.
A Christmas euchre with volunteers and.
residents was held on Thursday afternoon,
W inners were ladies high, Elizabeth Brown;
men's high, Alfie Sykes; consolation, Doris
Smith and Tom Handy; lone hands Patrick
Ryan and Oa Gardner. Decorated cup cakes
were served for lunch courtesy of Hazel

January 9, 1986.

Bell Canada gears up for Yuletide
The heavy volume Yuletide season long
distance calling to relatives and friends will
peak on Christmas Day.
Upwards of six million toll calls will be
placed across Canada, with more than one
million of them placed in Ontario.
The vast majority will be dialed direct by
customers because this is the fastest and
cheapest way to call long distance. But
operators will also be very busy.
In Southwestern Ontario, some 129 opera-
tors will be on duty over the 24 hours on
Christmas Day. said Peter Croome, local Bell
Canada manager.
Christmas Day operator -handled long
distance calls in this part of Ontario are
expected to total 106.998.
The other busiest days will he Christmas
Eve, Boxing Day (December 261, New Year's
Eve, New Year's Day and the two Sundays

planning ahead. Gel numbers in advance

America is available by dialing "1". the area
code if required. plus 555-1212 For overseas
numbers callers should dial the Bell operator
and keep the number handy for the actual
