POLICY DISCONTINUED
At the December meeting of 1st Cromarty
Scout group committee which was held at the
home of the chairman, Bill Mahon, the policy
of paying half of the membership fee for all
boys was discontinued.
Beginning in September 1986, parents will
pay the full fee (1985-$14) for the first two
boys in the family and half the fee for any
other members in the same family. The other
half will be paid by the group committee. This
will help eliminate the problem of low funds
at registration time and free more money for
other projects.
Ruth Laing gave an account of the scout
group committee workshop which she attend-
ed in Stratford in November. A get -well card
was signed for the Cub Akela, Rhea
Cameron, who has been ill. Further plans
were made for the Father and Son Banquet
which will be held in Cromarty Church on
February 1.6, and for the church service in
Staffa Church on the Same day.
The next meeting will be held on January
16 at Carol Ann Scott's home.
On Tuesday afternoon, tst Cromarty
Beavers and Cubs held a joint meeting in
Staffa Church with their parents as guests:
Three Beavers, Matthew Visscher, Adam
Miller and Gregory Dearing were invested by
their leaders, Margaret Schrader and Twyla
Waddell.
