WEDDINGS
KINSMAN — BILCKE
Janet Kinsman and John Bilcke were
married Saturday, October 26, 1985 at
Mount Cannel Church by Father Joseph
Nelligen. The bride is the daughter of John
and Elaine Kinsman of Staffa and the groom
is the son of Andre and Mariette Bilcke of
Hensall; Matron of Honor was Patti McCann
of Grand Bend and bridesmaids were Paula
Sereda of Exeter, Janet Winters of Toronto
and Jodee Desjardine ,of Exeter. Junior
bridesmaid was Sherri Lynn Lovell of Staffa
and flower girl was Pamela Lovell, also of
Staffa, Best man was Peter Bedard of
Hensall and ushers were Tim Lovell of
Kippen, David Kinsman of Staffa and
Randy Bilcke of Hensall. Junior usher was
Chad Webber of Woodham and ring bearer
was Jacob Kinsman of Staffa. Master of
Ceremonies was Bob Laramie and those
taking part in the service were Janet and
Frank Winters, Susan Dunn, Mary Jo
McCann and Lisa Stretton and Gerard
Gielen, The couple will reside in Staffa.

Facility residents
Seaforth Health Care Facility residents
had another hectic week bowling at Nobel
Lanes Monday with Elmer Bakscy emerging
the winner and participating in a bean bag
toss and wheelchair bowling with the help of
Grade 6 students Tuesday. Winners were
Dave Netzke and Margurite Shill.
On Wednesday the Reverend Vanslyke
held a worship service., Edith Dunlop played
the piano. • Mrs. Vanslyke assisted in the
singing of the hymns.
On Thursday euchre • was played with
volunteers, the results being: ladies high,
Verna McClure, men's low, Mabel Handy,
men's high, Alfie Sykes, men's low, Elmer
Bakscy and most lone hands, Sid Pearson.

to the volunteers, to Mary Chapple for lunch

OBITUARIES
MARY MARGARET O'LEARY
Mary Margaret O'Leary, 47, of RR 2
Staffa died Saturday, October 26, 1985.
She is survived by her husband John
O'Leary; daughter Kathryn Lynn O'Leary
Swinkels (Mrs. Harry Swmkeis) and sons
Kevin John of Listowel and Kelly Timothy at
home.
Mrs. O'Leary is the daughter of Margaret
Coyne and the late John L. Coyne.
Friends called at the Whitney-Ribey
Funeral Home in Seaforth Monday and Mass
of the Christian Burial was held Tuesday at
St, Columban Roman Catholic Church, in St.
Columban. Interment in St. Columban
Cemetery. Parish prayers were held at the
funeral home Monday.
Pallbearers were Jim McIver, Harry
Reynen, Dublin, Don Dearing, Jack Dear-
ing, Tom ,Burke and Ken Coyne.
ROSS McEWEN
Ross McEwen, of Belgrave, died Monday,
October 21 at University Hospital, London,
after a lengthy illness. He was 82 -years -old.
Mr. McEwen is survived by his 'sister Miss
Jean McEwen, of Belgrave. He was
predeceased by his parents, the late Mr. and
Mrs. Robert' McEwen.
Mr. McEwen was a member of the
Presbyterian Church, Belgrave.
A funeral service was held October 23, at
the McBurney 'Funeral Home, Wingham.
Reverend Victor Jamieson presided at the
service. Burial was in Wingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ross G. Anderson, Paul
McKee, Ross Procter, Garner Nicholson,
Graham Anderson and Tom Cameron.
Donations to the London Kidney Founda-
bon would be appreciated.
HARVEY CARL JACOBI
Harvey Carl Jacobi, 78, of RR 2 Kippen
died at University Hospital on Sunday,
October 27, 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Winona
(Norris) Jacobi and sons, Harry of Guelph,
John of Strathroy and Bryce of London.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren.
Mr. Jacobi is the son of the late Harry
Jacobi and the late former Margaret Harvey.
Friends called at the Hensall Chapel of
Michael P. O'Connor Funeral Homes, 118
have hectic wee
and to Marjorie Maloney for prizes. The next
euchre will be November 14 at 2 p.m.
Bingo was played Friday afternoon with '
winners being: Wilma Brill, Alvin McNain,
Doris Smith, Bill Connolly, Jim Nolan, Sid
Pearson and Elmer Bakscy. '
The SHCF, formerly the Manor, will hold
an Arts and Crafts Bazaar on Saturday,
November 23 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the
residence.

wife Nina to visit him for the afternoon on
Wednesday,
Grace Titford visited Elizabeth Brown.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton McDougall of
Edmonton, Alberta visited her father Finlay

committal services will be conducted there
today at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Stanley
McDonald officiating. Private interment to
follow later in Exeter Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations to
the Hensel] United Church would be
appreciated.
JOSEPH JOHN RYAN
Joseph John Ryan, 79, of Seaforth and
formerly of McKillop Township, died at the
Seaforth Community Hospital Sunday, Oc-
tober 27, 1985.
He is survived by his wife, the former
Rose Johnson, and children Rosemary Ryan,
Neil and Cyril, all of Calgary, Alberta,
Donald of Stratford, and Kenneth of
Burnaby, British Columbia.
Also surviving are five grandchildren;
three sisters, Madeline (Mrs..Robson Press)
of Edmonton, Alberta, Eileen (Mrs. Melvin
Scott) of Fargo, North Dakota, and Florence
(Mrs. Philip Speak) of Woodstock; and two
brothers, Lawrence Ryan of Walton and
Gordon Ryan of Montreal.
Mr. Ryan was predeceased by one son
Gordon in 1966 and one sister Marie (Mrs.
Gordon Rowland) and one brother James.
Visitors can call today, at the ,Ball and
Falconer "Box Funeral Chapel", and a
funeral service will be held tomorrow at 10
a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church in
Seaforth. Father Caruana will officiate.
Interment will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery
in Grey Township.
FREDERICK ERNEST MARTIN
Frederick Ernest Martin, of 343 Wallace
Ave. S., .Listowel, formerly of Grey
Township, died Tuesday, October 22 at the
Listowel Memorial Hospital. He was 82 -
years -old.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, the
former Jennie Marie Armstrong, a daughter
Margaret (Mrs. John Dewar), RR 1,
Monkton and' four grandchildren, Elgin, of
Oshawa 'and Joan, Joyce and Kevin, all of
Monkton.
He was predeceased by his parents the
late Francis and Jean (Reid) Martin and four
brothers, Earl (1904), Clarence (1980),
George (1962) and Edwin (1984). Earl,
Edwin and Ernest Martin were triplets.
After resting at the Brussels Chapel, a
funeral service for Mr. Martin was held from
the M.L. Watts Funeral Homes on October

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Roe were honored
on their 80th birthdays with a birthday
dinner arranged by their daughters and
sons-in-law. It was held at the home of Lois
and Bill Orr in Waterloo on October 13,
Family members from Waterloo, Seaforth,
Toronto, Stratford, Zurich, Varna, and
Holmesville were present at the celebration.
Their actual birthdates are November 3' and
October 27 respectively. Mrs. Roe was horn
in Comber, Ontario and moved with her
parents, the late Mr. and, Mrs. Alex
Wallace. to Tuckersmith Township in 1913.
Mr. Roe, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Edgerton Roe. was born in McKillop
Township. They were married in 1937 and
farmed on the thirteenth of Hullett Township
before moving to Seaforth in 1965. They
have four daughters, Mrs. W m.. Orr (Lois) of
Waterloo. Mrs. Alan Justason (Mary Lou) of
Kitchener. Mrs. John Clements (Dianne),
Mrs. Allan Smiley (Joyce) of Mississauga
and seven grandchildren.
In addition to the many best wishes from
family and friends, congratulatory messages
were received from the Hon. David
Peterson, Premier of Ontario, the Hon.
Brian Molmney. Prime Minister of Canada
and Mr Murray Cardiff. M.P for Humn-
Bruce.

GORDON: Pam and Barry are pleased to
announce the birth of their son fan Patrick on
October 28, 1985 at 8:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's
Hospital, London weighing 8 lbs. 12 07 A
hmther for Christina and Amy.

The Oddfellows and Rebekahs held their
first euchre of the season Wednesday with
the winners being: ladies high score, Ruth
Campbell; men's high score, Rnss Ribey;
ladies lone hands, Margaret Smale: men's
lone hands, Everett Felker, ladies' low
score. Lillian Pepper and Men's low score,
B. Felker.
The First Presbyterian Church Women's
Missionary Society Fall Thankoffering meet-
ing was held Thursday.
President Margaret Sharp extended a
welcome to the group including guests from
a number of other churches then read a
timely article in keeping with Thanksgiving
Mabel McMichael read the Scripture taken
from Psalm 100. Edythe Coleman led in
prayer.
The guest soloist was Ruth Campbell. She
was accompanied on the piano by Mrs. H.
Brown The offering was received by Janet
Cluff and Ann Agar and dedicated by the
President. Barbara Rivers introduced the
speaker, Eleanor Stevenson of Cranbrook.
Her talk was based on "Thank Yous" for all
the little things we so freely take for granted

GEORGE MANN
A lifetime Hullett Township resident,
George ,Mann, died at Huronview on
October 20. He was 92.
Born in Hullett Township on June 27,
1893, he was the son of George Mann and
Elizabeth Hunter,
He married Elizabeth Riley on November
20, 1929 at the United Church Manse in
Seaforth.
Mr. Mann was predeceased by his wife
and four sisters. He is survived by one sister
Mamye (Mrs. William Glazier) of Clinton
and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on October 22
at the Ball and Falconer Funeral Home,
Clinton. Rev. David Woodall of the Ontario
Street United Church, where Mr. Mann was
a member, officiated. Interment was held at
the Clinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charles Brandon, Cale
Doucette,, Don Pickard, John Beane, Ross
Trewartha, all of RR 4, Clinton and Ron
McKay of Clinton.
Flower bearers were Ernest Brown of
Clinton and Bev Nott of RR 4, Clinton.
