NOTICE of POLL
Notice is hereby given to the municipal electors of the
TOWN OF SEAFORTH
that whereas more candidates have been nominated to each of the
following offices than the number required to fill such offices,
therefore polls will be held upon the dates and at the times and places
stated in this notice for the purpose of electing the holders of such
offices.

Date: Tuesday, November` 12, 1985
Location: Seaforth & District Community Centres Hall, Duke Street,
Seaforth
Two special polls will beheld under Section 47 (1) of the Municipal
Elections Act as amended. The two special polls will be located at the
Kilbarchan Nursing Home, 46 Church Street, Seaforth and the
Seaforth Manor Nursing Home, 100 James Street, Seaforth FOR THE
RESIDENTS OF THE SAID NURSING HOMES ONLY. u
Time: Regular polls will be open from 11 o'clock a.m. until 8 o'clock
PROXY APPLICATIONS: A person who has been appointed a voting
proxy may apply to the clerk not later than 5 o'clock in the afternoon of
Polling Day to receive a certificate to vote by proxy for the polling
subdivision in which the person appointing the voting proxy is
entitled to vote.

Brussels Stockyards trade steadily
The market at Brussels Stockyards traded
actively steady on a heavy supply of cattle.
Heavy and overfinished cattle were dis-
counted, cows continued under pressure,
pigs sold actively higher.
There were 1416 cattle and 735 pigs on
offer.
Choice Steers -79.00 to 83.00 with a sale to
92.50.
Good Steers -76.00 to 79.00,
A 4-H steer consigned by Gavin Clark of
Dundalk weighing 1450 lbs. sold for 92.50.
Five steers consigned by Ray McPhail of
RR3, Kerwood averaging 1132 lbs. sold for
an overall price of 88.07 with a sale to 90.00.
Five fancy steers consigned by Stam
Farms of RR 4, Kincardine averaging 1224
lbs. sold for an overall price of 84.47 with a
sale to 89.25.
Forty-five steers consigned by Tom
Convey of RR 5, Kincardine averaging 1131
lbs. sold for an overall price of 82.77 with a

THE CLINTON-SEAFORTH JUNIOR DAIRY CALF CLUB has regular monthly meetings
and has gone on field trips throughout the year. One took them to Guelph where they toured
the university and spent some time at the vet museum, United Breeders. In August they took
part in a calf rodeo and washed, clipped and showed calves with the purpose of getting ready
for the fall fair. The results of the fair were rewarded last week. Members of the club are:

was held on October 18 in Baden, Ontario.
Teams representing 26 counties were
involved, The competition tests the agricul-
tural, homemaking and general knowledge
of the 4-H members and is similar to the
T.V. program.
The Huron County team consisted of Paul
Hoggarth, Heather Love, Murray Rundle
and Lia Stewart. The team was unbeaten
through the semi-finals and held the lead for
most of the final game, but lost to Victoria
County by only two correct answers in an
exciting finish.
A $100 donation to the Huron County 4-H
Clubs was presented to the team from the
Ontario PubliosStockyards.
