Heavy and overfinished cattle were dis- counted, cows continued under pressure, pigs sold actively higher. There were 1416 cattle and 735 pigs on offer. One took them to Guelph where they toured the university and spent some time at the vet museum, United Breeders. In August they took part in a calf rodeo and washed, clipped and showed calves with the purpose of getting ready for the fall fair. The results of the fair were rewarded last week. Teams representing 26 counties were involved, The competition tests the agricul- tural, homemaking and general knowledge of the 4-H members and is similar to the T.V. program. The Huron County team consisted of Paul Hoggarth, Heather Love, Murray Rundle and Lia Stewart. The team was unbeaten through the semi-finals and held the lead for most of the final game, but lost to Victoria County by only two correct answers in an exciting finish.
