BRODHAGEN 4-H NEWS
By Marci Scherbarth
The third meeting of the Brodhagen 4-H
club opened with the 4-H pledge followed by
each member answering the roll call "Name
a recipe that includes
cludes pastry." It was
decided to call our club "Brodhagen Pastry
Pals" and also that we 'would have a bake
sale at the Community Centre early in
November. All girls took part in preparing
Cornish Pastries in the kitchen. Four pastry
samples were made with lard, shortening,
oil and butter and then sampled and rated
according to appearance, texture, flakiness
and flavor.
