Manor residents are kept busy
GRADUATES
'DENISE LANE graduated June 11, 1985 in
Convocation Ceremonies from Alumni Hall,
University of Western Ontario. Miss Lane
graduated from King's College, U. W .0. with
an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in
Sociology, with.a minor in Mathematics. She
is presently studying to receive her Masters
of Health Services Administration, at the
University of Alberta in Edmonton. Miss
Lane is a former graduate of Seaforth District
High School and St. Columban Separate
School.
MARION HUNT, daughter of Francis and
Carol Hunt, 13R 4, Walton graduated on
September 27 from the two-year co-op
accounting diploma program at Mohawk
College of Applied Arts and Technology,
Hamilton. Marion is employed in the
accounting department at Hensall District
Co-operative Inc.
BIRTHS
Residents of the Seaforth Health Care
Facility have been kept busy with activities
and visitations in recent weeks,
This week some residents participated in a
bean bag toss and wheel chair bowling aided
by the efforts of volunteers from the Seaforth
Public School. Wilma Brill and Dave Netzke
emerged the winners in those contests.
Also taking place this week was a visit
with the St. Columban Catholic Women's
League ladies who got some games of euchre
going with the residents. Winners were:
Elmer Bakscy .(men's high hand), Gladys
Ruston (ladies high hand), Pat Ryan (most
line hands), Alfie Sykes and Edith Salo
(consolation winners).
Patrick Ryan thanked the ladies for their
visit and invited them to take part in a social
hour.
Bingo was played Friday with Dennis
Amey, Wilma Brill, Its Gardner, Elmer
Bakcsy, Marguerite Skill, Mort Mann and
Jimmy Tatalis emerging the winners.
The Reverend Archie Robertson led the.
worship service on Wednesday. Mrs. Lobb
was the organist, Mr. Lobb sang and Mrs.
McGonigle and Mrs. Elliott gave readings.
Other happenings during the week
included the attendance -of Jackie Racho at
the RASP meeting in London, and the
planning of the November 23 bazaar.
The week before the first fall euchre was
held at the Seaforth Health Care Facility
(SHCF) with approximately 30 residents and
community volunteers taking part. Winners
BINNENDYK: Mike and Kathy are pleased
to announce the safe arrival of their
daughter Nicole Marie, born October I1,
1985 at St. Joseph's Hospital, London,
weighing 7 lbs. 13 or -s. A sister for Jennifer
and Jeffrey. She is third grandchild of Hank
and Yvette Binnendyk and also third
grandchild for Ken and Madelon Maloney.
Also welcomed by great grandparents
Thelma and Oliver Pryce and Ann Binnen•
dyk.
JOHNSTON: Floyd and Mary are pleased to
announce the birth of their son Derek John
Dwayne on October 9. 1985 in Stratford
General Hospital, weighing 9 lbs. Proud
grandparents are Bruce and Pearl Johnston
of Seaforth and Jack and Mary Renne of
Staffa.

Visitors at the home of George and Helen
Wesenberg over Thanksgiving weekend
were Mr. and Mrs. Harold EIligsen of
Mitchell, Spencer and Eileen McLeod of
London, Dawne W esenberg of Tavistock and
Dale, and Arden and Arva (Hayden) Hill of
Cambridge.
Last weekend visitors at the same home in
Graham Survey were, Larry Wesenberg and
familyof Kitchener, Don and Dianne Gibson
of Fergus. and grandchildren John and
Terry, Gerald Voisin of Waterloo and John
and Patricia Mayer of Kitchener, Anne and
Arnold Barry of White Mouth, Manitoba.
James Kelley visited Ken and Joan Miller
of Cranbrooke and Dr. and Mrs. Donald
Munn at their cottage in Amberly on
Thanksgiving weekend.
Mr. F.C.J. Sills has returned from a
three-week holiday to England and Wales
'where he visited many relations and
friends.

week included bowling at Nobel Lanes
Monday with Patrick Ryan emerging the
winner; bean bag toss and wheelchair
bowling Tuesday with students from the
Seafotth . Public School as volunteers. A
worship service led by the Reverend Barber
of First Presbyterian Church with Henrietta
Brown at the piano and a mass conducted by
Father Caruana on Friday.
Isabel Scott visited her husband Bill.
Erie Dow was out for supper to his
daughter Mabel Clark's in Bayfield.
Harold Maloney went out for Thanksgiv-
ing dinner to his nephew Ray Maloney's
home.
Mabel Handy was out with her husband to
their daughters for dinner.
Gladys Ruston was home with her family
in. Stratford for the day.
Erle Dow was out with daughter Amy
Gethke in Mitchell.
Lillian Bernard visited her parents Bob
and Verna McClure.
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Robb, Ripley visited
his uncle Alvin McNair.
