OBITUARIES
HILDA FRENCH
Hilda French, 79, of 180 Wellington Street
in Mitchell, died Tuesday, October 2, 1985 at
her home.
Born in McKillop Township _ she was a
daughter of the late George Bennewies and
the former Magdalena Leonhardt. In 1926
she married William F. Vock who died
August 9, 1954. Following their marriage
they fanned in .Logan Township. She had
resided in• Mitchell since 1979.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Brodhagen, a memberof the LCW of
the church and had served as custodian for a
number of years.
Surviving are one son, Carl Vock and wife
Betty, of Brodhagen and three daughters,
Mrs. John (Pearl) Henderson of RR 5,
Seaforth, Mrs. Bruce (Erma) McLean, of St.
Marys, and Shirley Jarrett, of Stratford.
Also surviving are four ,sisters, Mrs.
George (Laura) Rock, Mrs. David (Reta)
Davis and Mrs. Anna Sherrin, all of Mitchell,
and Mrs. Edna Lloyd, of Toronto; one brother
William Bennewies of Kitchener, 21 grand-
children and 26 great-grandchildren. She was
predeceased by her second husband, Robert
G.C. French July 17, 1985.
Friends were received at the Lockhart
Funeral Home in Mitchell and a funeral
service was , held Friday at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, Brodhagen. Rev. Arthur
Horst officiated. Interment was in the church
cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations may
be made to the charity of one's choice.
WILLIAM H. LITTLE
William H. little, 90, died Thursday,
October 3, 1985 at Versa Care.
Mr. little, formerly of RR 6 Powerline
Road in Brantford, was born in Seaforth. He
was a graduate of Queen's University, an
elementary school principal in Union and a
teacher at the W . Ross McDonald School in
Brantford from 1933 to 1965.
He was predeceased by his wife Lilian
Clark, a brother James Ray in 1913 and by his
parents Andrew and Ellen little.
He•is survived by a son, Roy of Mervin,
Saskatchewan and two daughters, Margaret
Elliott of Belleville and Nancy • Harris of
Fenwick. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren
and three great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at the McCleister
Funeral Home in Brantford and a funeral
service was held at the W . Ross McDonald
School auditorium Saturday. Interment was
at Union Cemetery. Rev. A.E. Peterson of
Versa Care officiated, assisted by Ron
Adams.
As an expression of sympathy donations
can be made to the library of the W . Ross
McDonald School or to the Brant Chapter of
the Alzheimer Foundation.
LULU ADELLKERR
Lula Adel! Kerr died Tuesday, October 1,
1985 at the Wingham and District Hospital.
She was 80.
She is survived by a son John of Montreal.
Also surviving are grandchildren Kathryn,
Matthew and David Kerr of Montreal. She
was predeceased by her husband W alter C.
Kerr in 1983, one grandson Walter and one
brother Leland.
Visitors were received at the M.L. Watts
Funeral Homes, Brussels Chapel and a
funeral service was held Friday. The Rev.
Victor Jamieson officiated. Interment was at
Brussels Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy donations may
be. made to the Memorial Fund of Melville
Presbyterian Church in Brussels.
M ARGAREF MOORE
Margaret (Gray) Moore, 68, of London,
died Wednesday, October 2, 1985 at St.
Joseph's Hospital.
She is survived by one son James H. Moore
of Seaforth.
Friends were received at the Needham
Funeral Chapel in London and a funeral
service was held there Friday. Cremation
took place in Mount Pleasant Crematorium.
As expressions of sympathy, donations
may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation of Ontario or the Victorian Order
of Nurses.

At Melville Presbyterian Church, Brus-

EVELYN ELIZABETH HENDERSON
Evelyn Elizabeth (Storey) Henderson died
Monday, October 7 at Victoria Hospital,
London. Mrs. Henderson, of RR5, Seaforth,
was in her 33rd year.
She is survived by her husband, James'
Henderson and three sons, Alan, David and
Darryl, all at home. Also survived by her
mother Frances (Mrs. Everett Storey) of
Seaforth; one sister Vanda (Mrs. Glen
McNeil) of HR 6, Goderich and one brother
Paul Storey. of Egmondville, her grandmoth-
er Mrs. May Campbell, of RR 4, Seaforth and
her mother -and -father-in-law John and Pearl
Henderson of RR 5, Seaforth.
Predeceased by her father Everett Storey.
Friends were received at the Ball and
Falconer Box Funeral Chapel, 47 High St.
Seaforth on Tuesday, from 7-9 and again or
Wednesday. October 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9

Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, Brodhagen on Thursday,
October 10 at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Peter's
Lutheran Cemetery, Brodhagen.

DENNIS JOSEPH NOLAN
Dennis Joseph Nolan, 64, of Clinton and
formerly of Seaforth, died Friday, October 4,
1985 at Clinton Public Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Anne Givlin;
daughters. Mrs. Ken (Shirley) McLean, of
Vanastra; Mrs. Stewart (Jean) McLean of
London; Mrs. Charles (Marion) Crawford of
Port Albert and Mrs. Mike (Rose Ann)
Lobsinger of Kitchener; and son Ken of
Clinton.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren;
brothers Joe. Louis. and Frank, all of
McKillop Township, Jim of St. Thomas,
Vincent of Kitchener; sisters Mrs. Vincent
(Dorothy( Murray of McKillop Township,
Mrs. Bryan (Mary) Tate of Edmonton and
Mrs. Bill (Ann) Stoclde, Mrs. Bruce (Helen)
Miehm and Mrs, Wilfred (Patricia) Hartleib,
all of Kitchener.
Friends were received at the W hitney-
Ribey Funeral Home in Seaforth and a Mass
of the Christian Burial was held at St. James
Roman Catholic Church. Interment was in St.
Columban Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jack Malcolm, Marlen
Vincent, Ray Murray, Bill Murray, Clarence
Dale and Mac Leman. Flower bearers were
Marsha McLean, Paul McLean, Jennifer
McLean, Jason McLean, Jim Nolan and Lisa
Nolan.

9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Grace Church, 447 Port
Union. Road, Scarborough. If you are

UNITED CHURCH NEWS
The Reverend Charles Carpentier met with
his congregation Sunday, October 6. The
choir sang a song. Rev. Carpentier's sermpn
was "Can You Say: I'm Sorry."
Prayers were said for the sick at home and
in hospitals.
The service of worship at the, Callander
Nursing Home was conducted by Reverend
Carpentier and congregation.
October 16, the Official Board of the
Pastoral Charge will meet at 8 p.m. in the
Ethel United Church. October -20, the Ethel
United Church Anniversary Sunday Worship
Celebration at 7:30 p.m.
The Chamber Choir from listowel Second-
ary School will participate in the local
celebration.
October 27 is Brussels United Church
Anniversary Sunday at 11 a.m. ,.with 'St.
Andrew's Hand Bell Choir participating in
the morning service. At 7:30 p.m. special
music will be by the Church Choir. •

CAROLYN WILSON, graduated June 10,
1985 in Convocation Ceremonies from
Alumni Hall, University of Western Ontario.
Miss Wilson graduated from King's College,
U. W .O. with an Honours Bachelor of Arts
degree in English, with minors in History and
Political. Science. Miss Wilson is currently
studying to receive her Bachelor of Education
from Athouse College, Faculty of Education,
U.W .O. Miss Wilson is a former graduate of
Seaforth District High School and St. James
Separate School, Seaforth.
