Laurie Thompson and Janet Hughes, the current social workers in Perth, will continue full-time and Bonnie Reberg will be a half-time social worker. Her husband, Dr. Doug Reberg will be the on -staff psycholo- gist, "We're still in the process of hiring one more person," Mr. Keillor says. The director says the Stratford office will be open five days a week and possibly two nights during the week. The telephone has yet to be installed, so he suggests those wishing to get in touch with the agency should call the Perth health unit. Staff will try tp get in touch with a caller within 24 hours of the first call and arrange a meeting within two weeks. "In this business that (timeline) is considered pretty good," he says. The administration of the agency is overseen by a board of directors. Mary Auxiliary enjoys bus trip The past weekend our Ladies Auxiliary enjoyed their annual weekend bus trip. This year they spent three days in Toronto sightseeing, shopping and attending some of the better shows offered in a large city. Our Ladies Auxiliary have earned a holiday for the amount of time each one has contributed to the Legion. W e can never say "Thank You" . enough times. This Sunday is the Zone Convention in W ingham. A parade is being held at 1:15 p.m. and a short service will be held at the Cenotaph. Wreaths will be deposited in. memory of our fallen comrades. The meeting will be brought to order at 2 p.m. Anyone wishing to attend and needing transportation should get in touch with President Jack Muir. The Legion Bowling League is scheduled to start Friday evening at 7 p.m. All members are allowed to be spares and anyone wishing to do so please let Comrade Al Smale know. There are times when we could use more. Anyone interested in playing darts this season please sign your name on the list hanging on the bulletin board. If enough are interested an organizational meeting will be held October 16 at 7 p.m. at the Legion. Our entertainment committee is having a beef barbecue Saturday evening between 7 and 8 p.m. A dance will follow. The LEGION 16) ' NEWS committee would like to see all the members and their guests attending. Tickets are available at the Branch and from committee members at $6 each. A word of thanks from all of us at the branch to Comrade Angus McLean who for the last few years has been looking after the Cenotaph. The work Comrade MacLean has done has been appreciated by the member- ship. The members were sorry to hear of the death of Comrade Clarence Malone at the beginning of the week. Clarence had been a member of the branch for many years and will be missed by his many friends. To his family we offer our regrets in their loss of a father. A new board was elected at the agency's recent annual meeting and Perth and Huron have equal representation. From Perth are, Dr. Janice Coates of Stratford, John Patter- son of Listowel, John Gilbert of. Stratford, Donna Alderson of St. Marys and Kathy Robinson of Stratford The agency is also developing its own speaking circuit. The director says 60 to 70 speaking engagements were met by staff last year in Huron County alone. The staff will speak to church groups, service clubs and school groups.
