As of September 1, all students with special needs have the right to an education program appropriate to their individual needs and abilities - a big step forward for our children, for our school boards, for our teachers, and for all those who believe in equality of educational opportunity. During the last five years, Ontario school boards, teacher education institutions, teachers, and administrators have worked together to make this goal a reality. Contact your local school board to find out about special education programs and services available in your area.
