Huron says no to
Stratford Hospital
A second request from the Stratford
General Hospital for money for its building
fund was turned down by Huron County
council,
The building fund, which is about $1
million short of its $17 million goal was asking
for $335,000 from Huron County. This is the
same amount asked for earlier this year but
turned down by the council.
At its September 5 meeting, the request
was again turned down.
Clerk -treasurer Bill Hanly said the amount
asked for is based on the amount of use of the
hospital by Huron County residents. How-
ever, the county has a policy to not give funds
toospitals outside of the county.
