They were defeated two games to one by W roxeter in the Tri -County playoffs. Members of the team were: Tim Machan, Jay Hahn, Devon Sanderson, Randy Beuermann, Brad Beuer- mann, Danny McNeil, Troy Somers, Ryan Finch, Kent Bray, Johnny Miners, Brett Clarkson, Andy Overholt, Sean Connelly, Grant Jarvis, Jeremy Van Keulen. PAST NOBLE GRANDS M EET The Past Noble Grands of Morning Star Rebekah Lodge held a potluck supper in the Lodge Hall. The president, Sarah Stephen- son, welcomed all present. Mary Lowe, secretary -treasurer, gave the reports and 14 members answered the roll call. It was decided due to other commitments to not hold an October meeting. The November meeting is to be held at the home of Jean Bridge with Alice McArter and Marguerite Crawford as hostesses. The election of officers for the coming year took place and are: President, Mary Davidson, Secretary -Treasurer Marg- aret McCutcheon. Sara Anderson presided. Minutes of the previous meeting were read, correspondence and treasurer's report given and visits to the sick and shut-ins were recorded. MICHAEL B. Helen Martin and Mrs. Ross Higgins were in charge of the worship service with Mrs. Glenn Coultes at the piano. The Bible study taken by Jean Pattison, Olive Bolt and Mrs. Glenn Coultes continued the study on Korea. The Evening Unit of Knox United Church, Belgrave, met on September 3 at the home of Mrs. Clarence Yuill. Mrs. Norman Cook conducted the worship with the theme "Contentment." The leader, Mrs. George Michie, led the business portion of the meeting. Roll call was answered by 19 members. Mrs. John McIntosh led a Bible study on "Love." The members read Bible verses containing the word"hove." The meeting closed with the mizpah benediction. Lunch was served by Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler and Mrs. Melville M athers. The Curator Meeting of the W omen's Institute will be held in the W I Hall on Thursday, September 19 at 8:15 with the convener, Mrs. Ross Taylor, showing pic- tures of her trip to the British Isles. All women in the community are welcome to attend. PEOPLE Mrs. Joe Fritzley of Goderich visited on Saturday with her aunt Olive Campbell. Elizabeth Procter visited on Thursday with her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Howard Zettler, Sherry and twins Alicia and Amanda of RR 4 Walkerton.
