Next year marks the fifteenth year of the Playhouse and new Artistic Director Steven Schipper promises that it will be a year of celebration. After September 7th, the set for The Sound of Music will be put away and the cast and crew members will go on to work at theatres from the Maritimes to British Columbia. However, planning is underway for the 1986 • summer season. "I want to choose plays and events which will celebrate the magic of the theatre," says Mr. Schipper. "I will ensure that Huron Country Playhouse continues to grow and provide the SPECIAL OPEN BOWLING RATE Saturday Night From 8 p.m. - ADULTS MINORS .90 per game 400 NOBEL BOWLING LANES SEAFORTH 527-0840 Scotch Ceilidh Seaforth Legion Sat., Sept. 14 9-1 a.m. Program Dancing Lunch Adm. $6 Tickets available at Branch 156 community with family oriented summer theatre which achieves the highest measure of excellence and popularity. The Playhouse has 'three full time staff in the administration offices: Heather Redick, Gen- eral Manager; Lynn Alderdice; Offi* Mana- ger and Debbie Plumb, Secretary. "We're busy planning the next year: • looking at budgets, cleaning up the theatre and making repairs, fund raising and many other activities," says Heather Redick. "We'd like to be able to restore many of the seats in the theatre, buy an electric piano and purchase a van for the theatre.
