the most popular activities with the older
crowd at last weekend's Sportsfest In

Seaforth, Gladys Doig, had good luck earlier
on, but it withered away and she was
eventually eliminated, (TI11 photo)

Seaforth did okay
at least in part
Full results of the Spoirtsfest, including the
outcomes of Seaforth's teams, were not
available at press time. The South Huron
Recreation Centre in Exeter, which ran the
entire event, has promised a complete
rundown as soon as possible. Check next
week's Expositor.
At the very least, here is a partial list of
some hometown teams' accomplishments:
In tennis, Terry Gray took home the title for
boys 16 and under, The Seaforth team
defeated Walkerton 8-6.
The mixed volleyball team wasn't as lucky.
After a strong start, the Spikes went down to
defeat in the semi-finals. In the finals of the
other volleyball tournament, Seaforth also
lost.
Things were also pretty grim for the Men's
Ball Hockey team, beaten by Ripley in the
semi-finals. The score was 6-5 in overtime.
The lone result available from non-
competitive sports (which included darts,
euchre, shuffleboard et cetera) was a third
high man place for Harvey Dolmage.
