(photo submitted) Families hold reunion near A combined Alexander -Chandler Reunion was held on Sunday, August 4 at the Falls Reserve Conservation Area near Benmiller. Those present were descendants, their PEOPLE Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Pat Altman recently were Roy and Vera Netzke of Brockville, Shirley Rupert, Pam and Kim, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Homuth and Cheryl, Jim and Joan Altman, Jamie and Doreen Bowers, all of Kitchener, Mr. and Mrs. Delford Altman and family of Orangeville. Roy and Vera Netzke and Rose and Pat Altman took their parents' Dave and Eva Netzke out from the manor Monday after- noon. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Happy 14th birthday to Brad Carter on August 14. Alexanders mark 45th anniversary On Sunday August 4, 1985, the families of Norman and Helen Alexander gathered to honor them on their 45th wedding anniver- sary at the Benmiller Conservation Area in Goderich Township. They were married in Kippen United Church by Helen's father Rev. E. F. Chandler in 1940. Guests were present from various areas including North Bay, Ottawa. Iowa and Florida. U.S.A. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Donna W attain of Belgrave, fiance Travis Koehler, son Trever Brute and daughter Amber Doreen. Also surviving is one brother Michael of Belgrave. Friends called at the McBurney Funeral Home in Wingham where a funeral service was held August 5 with Rev. Jack W ittich officiating. interment was at W Ingham Cemetery. CircusY thrills SHCF residents BY MARY FINIAYSON Residents of the Seaforth Health Care Facility have had a busy week of activities. Ten residents attended the circus last Sunday and were thrilled by the performers. Worship Service and Communion were in the charge of Rev. Gordon Simmons of St. Thomas Anglican Church on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and Father Caruana, of St. James Catholic Church on Thursday. Bingo was played on Tuesday afternoon and winners were: Four corners, Alfie Sykes and Edith Salo; Straight line, James Nolan; Letter X, Alfie Sykes; Full house, Harold Maloney; Under B, Wilma Brill; I, Madge Remes; N, Rose Murray; G, Harold Maloney; and under 0, Alfie Sykes. Highlighting Friday's events was a bus trip to Goderich, Benmiller and the Hohnesville Zoo. Thirty-two residents and four staff enjoyed a picnic lunch in the pavilion down by the water's edge. The weather was ideal and Spectators love ATVs Sunday, August 11 was the day that the ATVs took over the Ridgetown Racetrack. CRC Productions of Clinton produced the show at the 1985 Ridgetown Fair. Benmiller anniversary of their parents, Norman and Helen (Chandler) Alexander of Londesboro. Seventy-nine people were present, ' from 'Brampton, Burlington, Chesterville, Exeter, Hensall, Kincardine, Kitchener, Londesboro London, North Bay; Ottawa, Parkhill, Port Elgin, Strathroy, Toronto, Waterloo and Winter Park, Florida. The track was built on the racetrack, complete with jumps and berms, in less than an hour and a half. Five truck loads of dirt were used. Spectators were entertained to a 2% hour show that was one of the best racing events of the season. Local riders got the fans on their feet as they took on the out of town riders from all across Ontario. In the out -of -field class the winner was Ralph Eyre from Brigden. Paul Farquhar of Clinton and Bob Brulotte from Dorchester fought tooth and nail in the 200 Modified class, but Farquhar came out on top with the win. Chuck Collins of Varna won the 250 Modified and the Open Modified. ATV racing and CRC Productions will move to Leamington Fair on Sunday, August 18th. residents fed the seagulls and also had a good view of Lake Huron. Mary Ryan commented she hadn't been to the lake for a long time. Also on the bus was Seaforth Health Care Resident Wm. Minas who was 99 years young in June. Monday morning saw exercises for fun and fitness with Drusilla Leitch. Activity co-ordinator Jackie Racho has been on holidays for two weeks with. Ruth Nolan taking her place and Mary Finlayson doing one day a week of activities. PERSONALS Rose Murray is still confined to St. Joseph's Hospital, London and Verna Mc- Clure is still in Stratford General Hospital. Ruth Noll is also in Seaforth Community Hospital. Mary Lamont visited Kelly Lamont. Dave and Eva Netzke were visited by their son' and daughter-in-law Ray and Vera Netzke. Mary Margaret Maloney visited with Harold Maloney, Rose Murray and Mary Ryan.Jackie McLeod from Mitchell's Bay visited her grandfather Erle Dow on Wednesday. Patrick Ryan was visited by his sister Kathleen Hemachi and boys. Patrick is enjoying a holiday with them at their cottage in Bayfield. Birthday greetings were sent to two ladies this week: Doris Smith on Thursday and Carole Geddes on Friday. Carole was visited by her family on Friday evening to celebrate her birthday.
