Mr. and Mrs, Mike Ferguson's Parkway Stables of Alma, Ont. Magnificent Event is by Real McCoy. was purchased by the Fergusons as.a yearling at the Kentucky Sales for $27,000, and out of the mare Main Theme by Stonewall's Main Event, the leading sire in the nation. Mrs. McCowan bought her mare from Lexington, Kentucky as a five-year-old in 1973. •Her foal was sold well up in the four figure range. Audrey DeCoo spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Tony DeCoo at their cottage in Bayfield. Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCowan of RR 4 Walton visited Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Uerolyn in Woodstock. ' Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Regele of Princeton spent the long weekend with her mother Idella Regele, and•Norman Hubley at their .home in Seaforth. Cindy and Colleen McCallum of RR 4 Walton visited for a few days with their grandmother Idella Regele and Norman Hubley. Marion Hare, Angeline, Carrie, and Cory of Sebringville spent a few days recently with the former's parents,. Mr. and Mrs. Robert McCowan visited with her brother Tom Hey and Gordon. Mr. and Mrs. JimLlerolyn, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill , Hey in Barrow Bay last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan McClure and Amy visited last Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Vic Ward. Mr. and Mrs. Ward celebrated a wedding anniversary and Bryan a birthday. Fine weather enhances Cranbrook church picnic Cranbrook Correspondent MRS. MAC ENGEL • 887-6645 Fine weather added to the enjoyment of the Sunday School picnic held at the church on Saturday afternoon, -July 27. All ages joined in the various games on the lawn of Jim Minielly. A pot luck supper finished off the afternoon in the basement of the church, PEOPLE Mr. and Mrs. John Vanass and family enjoyed a visit to Bingeman Park, Kitchener, and also. attended the Swiss party at the home of John Menu July 28. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson spent the July 21 weekend with members of their family in Toronto. The following weekend, Mrs. Stevenson was in Toronto helping her daughter move. She brought her two grandchildren Cori and Andy Smith home for a holiday on the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Conley are home from a week trip to Saskatchewan. While there they attended the Hudson-Paffenfus wedding. The groom is a nephew. They report the crops around Watson and Spalding are great, but from Regina to North Dakota they are nil and the grasshoppers are terrible. Mr, and Mrs. Angus Starr, Alliston, spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Don Cotton. Misses Jennifer and Jolanda Vanass visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Adams, and Darryl is spending the week at Menestung Camp.
