Edgar relatives were shocked to learn their cousin Rev. Harold Boyd of Nananimo B.C. had passed away Sunday, July 28. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Davidson visited on Sunday evening July 28 with Mr. and Mrs. Murry Scott. Mt. and Mrs. Gerald Ryan of Athabaska, Alberta visited recently with their cousin Mrs. Walter Scott. Mr. W.F. Shackleton and Mrs. Larry Gauvin visited on July 24 with his sister Mrs. Walter Scott and also called on Mr. and Mrs. Murray Scott. Edna Henshaw of New W estminister, B.C. is spending a couple of weeks with her cousins Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse and other relatives. Edna Henshaw of New W estminister, B.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse spent Sunday with their cousins mr. and Mrs. Garnet Dowse at their cottage at Sauble Beach. Also visiting at the same home were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ash and family of Milton, daughter and son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Dowse. This community was shocked to learn of the sudden death of Michelle W attain of Bluevale early Saturday morning. Sincere sympathy is extended to her parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wattam and Michael of Belgrave and other relatives. Man says family his salvation A Dublin man celebrating his eighty- eighth birthday this week says his family is his salvation. "They help me all they can," says Peter Maloney, a life-long area resident who celebrates his birthday Aug. 9. Born in McKillop Township, Mr. Maloney has lived in Dublin since Dec. 1. He was a driver with the Seaforth Creamery for 20 years. He is also the first in his family to reach age 88. That's quite an accomplishment: He had 11 brothers and sisters, most of whom are still living. He and his wife Calotilda have raised 10 children Of their own. Mrs. Maloney has been in hospital fora couple of weeks with a broken hip, and Mr. Maloney says he doesn't always get to see his children as often as he'd like. JOHN ELLIGSEN ELECTRIC LTD. He met his wife through the St. Columban parish in which both lived. , "I saw her at dances and parties," he says. They celebrated their fifty-ninth wedding anniversary in June.
