RATEPAYERS
The Corporation of the Township of
McKillop wishes to establish a solid
waste disposal site for use by township
residents by December, 1987. Proposals
are invited from any landowner willing
to sell a minimum of fifteen acres,
including a right-of-way. The proposal
must allow preliminary site testing,
including bore hole(s) and backhoe
testing, during a non -cropping season.
Subject to site approval, having regard
to:
-soil impermeability
-presence of private and municipal
drains
-tree and ground cover
-access, location and degree of
isolation
-cost of site establishment
-protection of the quality of life in our
Township while disposing of inevitable
wastes
the Township is amenable to any
purchase price per acre not exceeding
the sum of $3,000.00 per acre.
The Township shall provide written
assurance of:
-non-impairment of adjacent water
quality
-refusal of toxic wastes
-on-site supervisory personnel and
controlled access
-rehabilitation of expired site
-proper maintenance of site and
surrounding area.
Proposals must be in writing, on
proposal forms available from the
undersigned, and must be submitted on
or before 5:00 p.m., August 30, 1985.

PUBLIC MEETING CONCERNING A PROPOSED
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING BY-LAW
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Tuckersmith will hold a series of public open houses, as indicated below, to
consider. the proposed comprehensive zoning by-law.
OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULE
MONDAY, AUGUST 19, 1985 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The first hour of this meeting will consist of a general presentation to be
followed by questions. Everyone is welcome to attend the presentation or drop in
any time to discuss the by-law with Council or a County Planner, or if you are
unable to attend this meeting please drop in any time on
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21, 1985
Between 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The open houses are deemed to be public meetings under Section 34(12) of the
Planning Act; they provide a flexible timetable to suit the majority of ratepayers
and an opportunity to consider and discuss specific concerns.
The proposed zoning by-law affects the entire Township of Tuckersmith as
shown on the attached map below. It implements the Tuckersmith Township
Secondary Plan by establishing land use controls and zones in the township.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and -or make written or verbal
representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed zoning
by-law.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed zoning by-law is
available at the Township Office in Tuckersmith during normal business hours.
In addition, a draft copy of the proposed by-law has been sent, for information
purposes, to all owners of property and tenants, as noted on the latest revised
assessment records.
