Localgolfer fares well
A local golfer continues to perform well on
the Canadian Pro Tour.
Since qualifying for the tour earlier this
year, Ian Doig, son of Ken and Mary Doig, of
Seaforth has competed in three tournaments.
In the most recent, the Roseland -Windsor
Charity Classic held last week in Windsor, he
finished fourth netting a $2,500 prize. Mr.
Doig shot an eight under par 208 (68,70,70)
over three days. Winner of that tournament
was Sandy Harper of British Columbia with a
14 -under par finish.

the Quebec Open held in Victoriaville,
Quebec. There he shot a 73, 71, 73 fora 24th
place finish. Dave Barr won the tournament
after an eight -hole playoff with Dan
Halderson.

to finish 30th overall at a tournament held at
Stougfville Spring Lakes Golf Club. Danny
Mijovic of Unionville finished first.

Local motocross riders fare well
Race action returned to Hully Gully on
Sunday in the sweltering afternoon heat.
Rain in the morning, and sun in the afternoon
made the track the fastest it's been this year.
Racing was fast and furious with seconds
separating most riders.

classes picking up points in the overall season
standings. Hensall's Jim Dickins finished
fourth in the 80A class, John Kochan also
from Hensall finished fourth in the 808 class.
Brian Blackburn of Exeter put in a good ride
but fell short of winninga trophy finishing in
sixth place. Chuck ollins of Varna was
second in the Expert 250 and fourth in the
Expert 125 class.
CRC Productions of Clinton will be holding
a week long motocross school camp at Hully
Gully starting on July 22-26.
The next race at Hully Gully will be on
Saturday, July 20 when HOUSELEAGUE
RACE ACTION returns. The next CMA
sanctioned race will be on July 28. For more
