The Municipality of Central Huron is seeking a Deputy Treasurer to complement
our staff. We are committed to excellence, realized through strong and effective I
eadership, strategic and business planning, and a focus on its people and
customers.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the incumbent will be responsible for
managing the functional service areas of asset management and general
accounting (including overseeing AR, AP, Payroll and Taxation). The ideal
candidate will possess a university or college degree/diploma in a business-re-
lated field (i.e. business administration, accounting, finance/economics etc.).
Consideration will be given to those enrolled in the CMA or CGA program.
This position requires strong information management skills, a predisposition
towards analytics/metrics and being process -oriented. Programing experience
and/or advanced functioning in Excel/Access or similar programs is a must.
This position will require working independently on establishing/configuring our
asset management system so being confident, logical, decisive and intuitive is
required.
Strong organizational, personnel management and computer skills are required.
Experience in municipal accounting, asset management and taxation will be
highly considered. This position requires someone with initiative and good
communication and public relations skills.

removal and maintain proper health and safety.
