Joyce Van Camp of Alberta was a
guest at her parents Jim and Mary
Hunter's for a week and Tim and
Katrina VanCamp of Coldstream,
British Columbia were also guests at
the same home, after visiting
Katrina's grandmother in Niagara
Falls. They visited with other family
members, relatives and friends.
The community extends sincere
sympathy to Dorothy Coultes and
family in the loss of her husband
Glen Coultes.
The community wish Mackenzie
Wightman all the best as she
competes in the Hamilton Music
Festival on Saturday, June 16.
Mackenzie was named one of the
provincial finalists when she
competed at the Walkerton Music
Festival.
On Father's Day, June 17,
following the service at Knox
United Church there is a chicken
barbecue. Everyone is welcome.
There will be no service in
Dungannon -Trinity.
The Canadian Foodgrains Bank
invited Canadians on June 10 to join
Christians around the world in a
Global Day of Prayer to end famine.
This call to prayer comes from
the all -African Council of Churches,
the World Council of Churches,
and World Evangelical Alliance
which invites Christians to stand in
solidarity with our sisters and
brothers to support them to realize a
future free of extreme poverty,
hunger and violence.
The Belgrave Community
Growing Project (BCGP) corn crop
for 2018 has been planted and is up
and flourishing. Anyone interested
in supporting this worthwhile
project can help by donating. You
can make your donation to Knox
United Church, Belgrave and simply
make a note on the envelope to
put your donation towards the
BCGP.

Sharing the wealth
After a successful sesquicentennial celebration last year, the East Wawanosh 150 Committee
recently handed out $23,500 to organizations and service clubs that helped make the massive
undertaking possible. The group donated over $12,000 to the Belgrave Community Centre
(including its trophy case project) and then $500 each to the Belgrave Kinsmen, the Blyth
Firefighters Association, the Wingham Firefighters Association, the Blyth Lions Club, the
Brandon Cemetery and the Elementary School Fair. Back row, from left: Chair Jamie
McCallum, Trevor Hopf, Ken Wright, Eric Mulholland, Jonathan Van Camp, Marvin Cook,

AD CENTIU
All the proceeds from the growing
project go to the Canadian
Foodgrains Bank. In the 2017-2018
budget year, the Foodgrains Bank
provided over $37 million of
assistance for over 800,000 people
in 34 countries. This is truly a
wonderful opportunity for us all to
do our part in helping our brothers
and sisters around the world who are
less fortunate.
On Sunday, June 17 at Knox
United Church Evelyn Mae,
daughter of Karrin and Shane
Davenport will be baptized.
The over -80 birthday party is on
July 3 at 2 p.m. at Knox United
Church. Please join us.
The community congratulates and
extends special birthday wishes to
Ruth Gordon on the celebration of
her 75th birthday.
John and Linda Campbell are first-
time grandparents. Their son Jeremy
and daughter-in-law Stacy are proud
parents with a son, Jackson Jeremy
who was born May 20 in Toronto.
There were four tables of cards in
play on Friday, June 8 at the
Community Centre in Belgrave.
Winners were: high pink card, Joann
MacDonald; second high pink card,
