Alvin McLellan, one of Huron East Council's representatives on the board, said that he feels it's essential to have members of the public on the committees to ensure that all voices are being heard. McLellan said he had early contact with long-time minor hockey association member Doug McArter who had some thoughts about potential expansion of the community centre. McArter has since reached out to be involved with the project. The board held its most recent regular meeting earlier this month and, after the public meeting on the future of the centre, all of the evening's discussion was about the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre.
