I have done a few over the years and have even spearheaded a couple of fundraisers for the Bayfield Pathfinders who joined me up to my armpits in acrylic paint and fake snow. We then sold the houses as a quaint Christmas village as part of a fundraising raffle. When packing for our move it became apparent that I'm not ever going to actually paint all these houses for myself, the old eyesight not being what it used to be, so I have decided to share these blank slates once again with my Pathfinders. But I don't think we can complete this project alone and I am inviting people who like to paint and live in the village or surrounds to join us by taking a house and painting it at home. Once the houses are done we will organize a raffle with the proceeds split between the Pathfinders and Camp Klahanie. I think we're a bit ambitious to get the whole village done in time for this Christmas raffle season so we're looking toward 2016. It could be a fun winter project for a few interested folks.
