May 8 - Issue 201 - SPRING IN THE VILLAGE - THE ART OF TREE REMOVAL ON MAIN STREET: Main Street Bayfield was alive with activity on the morning of May 6 when Taylor Tree Service, of Grand Bend, a division of Arbortech Professional Tree Care, worked with Cameron Crane, of London, to remove a dead English Walnut from the rear of The Red Pump Restaurant. The tree was taken out in sections. The removal of a large horizontal limb is pictured here. According to our MP Ben Lobb, we are now the envy of many communities in his jurisdiction. Apparently, the top two items on neighboring towns and village's wish lists are public washrooms for their Main Street and a Splash Pad. So now is the time to sit back, reflect and maybe bask a little in our achievements in the second installment of our year in review from May 1 to Aug. 20.
