This week we record the death of Duneau McNaughton, which occurred at the residence of his son John Mc- Naughton, on Tuesday, March 3rd, in his 83rd year. Deceased was born at Glenyon, Perthshire, Scotland, in 1620, and came to Canada with his mother and the rest of the family in 1846, when they settled in the township of East Williams, where he was married the year following to the late Lilies Stewart, who diediu 1883. He resided there until the year 1856 (exeeptiug for two seasons in which he was engaged as surveyor in the Georgian Bay district,) when he and his wife and family moved to the present homestead which at that time, like all the rest of the neighboring farms, was all woods. Mr. McNaughton' was au honest and upright nevi and highly esteemed by all wlio kri•3w him. He leaves to mourn his loss three sons, Don- ald, John and Duucau, who all reside on and near the old homestead, also two brothers and three sisters ;.h^> still rte side at Ailsa Craig, Eltst w1lliams.
