The price paid was $000. Mr. Haggitt
has secured•a desirable home at a low
figure; the house is a good one and the.

This week we record the death of
Duneau McNaughton, which occurred
at the residence of his son John Mc-
Naughton, on Tuesday, March 3rd, in
his 83rd year. Deceased was born at
Glenyon, Perthshire, Scotland, in 1620,
and came to Canada with his mother
and the rest of the family in 1846, when
they settled in the township of East
Williams, where he was married the
year following to the late Lilies Stewart,
who diediu 1883. He resided there until
the year 1856 (exeeptiug for two seasons
in which he was engaged as surveyor in
the Georgian Bay district,) when he and
his wife and family moved to the present
homestead which at that time, like all
the rest of the neighboring farms, was
all woods. Mr. McNaughton' was au
honest and upright nevi and highly
esteemed by all wlio kri•3w him. He
leaves to mourn his loss three sons, Don-
ald, John and Duucau, who all reside
on and near the old homestead, also two
brothers and three sisters ;.h^> still rte

Richard Cardiff has Moved from the
4th line to his newly purchased 100 acres
on the 6th coil.. of Grey, formerly own-
ed by Joseph H. Bowman. While sorry
to lose Mr•.and Mrs.Oardiff frons Morris;
we are glad they are located so near by.
We are sorry to state that Harold, the
little son of David Agar, end line, died
Oe Weduesday of last week, aged 11
mouths and eight days. The parents
have the sympathy of the community.

Arranvale and Owen Sound. Lottie
was. born and raised at Arranvale and
a few years ago moved with her parents

about two years ago to Mr, Pawsett; G.
T. R. agent at Blnevalo. • Much
regret is felt by her many friends and
ncgnaint-ttioes its her early death.
Is was known for some tine that there
was no hops ot her ret•overy, though
she linrert d tnuelr longer than was ex-
pected by her physiciau and relatives.
A little son besides her husband and re-
latives are left to mourn her loss.
