We aro sorry to hear that Frank Mc-
Cutcheu an old and highly respected
resident of the 6th line, has beeu sertous-
ly ill during the past week, but we hope
he will soon be :restored to good health.
Chas. Pollard, e.ast boundary. has par -
chased the 50 acres belonging to the
Govenlock estate, opposite his own fartu,
for the sum of $702. There are no build-
ings. The new purchase is in Grey town-
ship and is being conjsderably improved
by the new proprietor:
A very pretty wedding took place at
the residence of Peter and Mrs. Barr,
5th lino. on 'Wednesday. when their'
sister, Miss Annie I. E. Chambers,
youngest daughter of the late M. Cham-
bers, was united in marriage to William
Hogg, a prosperous young farmer of Mc-
Killop, at 3.30 p.m: The bride entered
the parlor leaning on the arm of her
brother-in-law, to the strains of the Wed-
ding Marchi, played by Miss Ewing, of
Seaforth, the party taking their places
under a. beautiful floral bell. The cere-
mony was perforated by Rev. Mr. Mus-
grove, of McKillop. A pleasant evening
was spent by all and the newly married
couple returned, to .their home in Me.
Killop amid ,showers .of ripe and best -
wishes, The large number of gifts con-
sisting of furniture, silverware and fancy
articles, showed the high' esteem iu
which the young couple are held.•

also extended the time for the redemp-
