Mr. and Mrs. Fair have moved into
the house recently vacated by Mr. Thos.
Kew. We are pleased to know that onr
board of trustees have recognized Mr.
Fair's merits as a teacher Rand re engag-

sojourn among us may be both profitable

The many friends and patrons of the
Whitechurch creamery, are glad to see
the jovial face of Mr. Jno. Crowe ou the
cream waggon again this week, he hav-
ing been laid up last week with a slight
attack of appendicitis.
Doctor Jamiesen's brother paid ]lith a
short visit last week.
One of the worst accidents which has
occurred in this community for years
happened 011 Friday morning last, Mr.
Chas. Rintoul, who was relieving ]:lobe.
King as feeder for McIntosh said Gilles -
pie's threshing machine was endeavor-
ing to take oft the belt which runs the
fanning mill of the separator, when his
arm Became entangled with another belt
which runs the saute pully. Before he
could do anything to save himself his
right area was drawn into the pulley,
crushing it badly and dislocating it at
the elbow. Doctor Jamieson found it
necessary to amputate just below the
shoulder and the operation was per-
formed successfully. ou Friday afternoon,

to learn that he is improving nicely and
will soon be around again.

I R. B. King, who was ill, is able to call

McIntosh and Giilespte had a break-
down in their threshing outfit on Tues-
day. Tho loss was protnply repaired and
they are threshing again.

Fair this week are Rev. C C. Baine,
Geo. Cottle, David Clow, A. D. Beaton
and Jas. Martin.
Alex. Simpson left hero on Monday
morning for Toronto to resume his
studies at Trinity Medical College.
