ites this week. It would be impossible
for ns to give a list of the parties who
are attending the fair.
—Mr. C. E. Dewey, of Stratford. has
bas been appointed division freight
agent at Toronto. Mr Dewey is well-
known in Wingham, having been form-
erly on this division of the G. T. R.
—Mr. John Manning, late of the Peter-
boro Examiner, and au old Listowel boy
is now superintendent of the London
Advertiser job printing department.
Mr. Manning is an old school mate of the
TIMES man and we are pleased to note

were in town on Saturday last,soliciting
subscriptions and special prizes for the
Bell;rave fall fair.
— Wingham junior football club
journeyed to Lueknow on Monday and
engaged in a game with the kickers of
that place. The score was 2 to 1 in

—At a Directors meeting on Friday
night, Mr John J Moffat was elected
President of the Turnberry Agricultural
Society to fill the balance of the late
John Currie's term.
—The Gorrie Vidette is holidaying

—Mr. R. ff. Crowder is in Toronto
and Montreal this week on a purchasing
trip. During his absence the store busi-
