S. Morton Och line has recently pur-
chased the o'd Scott farm across the
road from his farm which contains 100
acres.
Mrs, Vancamp, sr., received word on
Saturday of the death of her brother,
in-Iave, Mr. Taos.' Whitfield, a highly
respected and pioneer resident of Grey
township, Mr. Whitfield was in his
92nd year, and succumbed to an attack
of pneumonia. The funeral took place
on Tuesday.

Mr. Harvey Robinson vacates,
The Women's Missionary Society of
the Methodist Church chipped a barrel
of fruit and a box of clothing and
quilts to the Fred Victor mission in
Toronto this week.
Mr. and Mrs. George Bamford of
Detroit were in town on Monday and
attended the funeral of the former's
father, Mr. Wm, Bamford of West-
field.
Howick Boundary.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred McIntosh have
the sincere sympathy of this commun-
ity in the death of Mr. Mclntosh'a
mother, Mrs. Robert McIntosh of
Blucher, Seek, which took place on
Friday last, Nov. 28tb. The 4ernains
were to leave for the east on Monday
Dec. Ist Mrs. McIntosh was well
known and highly esteemed by all in
this vicinity, the news of her very
sudden death has cast a gloom over
all.
We hear Mr. Dore our Union school
teacher is to take part in a debate at
the Salem League on Thursday night
next.
Mr, S. Woods is wearing a very
pleasant smile these days, the cause is
a bouncing baby girl which has come
to stay.
Miss J. Stewart and Miss E. Gowdy
of the B. line have gone to Wingham
to take a course in the Business College
there. We wish them both success.
