the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Wingham
General Hospital will be held in the
Council Chamber next Monday after-
noon at 4 o'clock. All members are

—Miss Margaret Sutherland wishes,
through the TIMES, to gratefully thank
all friends and neighbors for their
many acts of kindness shown her dur-
ing her recent bereavement and through
the time of her late father's illness.
—Mr. W. Taylor recently resigned as
caretaker at the public school and at a
special meeting of the Board on Fri-
day evening Mr. J. W. Dodd was ap-
pointed to the position. Mr. Dodd has
already taken charge and is an excel-
lent man for the position.
—Tne Francis Firth Concert Co. will
give an enertainment in the opera house

—Mr. J. H. Grennan, a former resi-
dent of East Wawanosh, died in London
on Thursday last. The remains were
brought to Wingham and service was
held in Sacred Heart Church on Satur-
day morning and intelment was made
in the Teeswater R. C. cemetery. Mr.
Grennan left this section many years
ago.
—From the diagram of the floor of
the House of Commons, the TIMES not-
ices that E. N. Lewis, is sitting in the
front row occupying No. 16 seat. Mer-
ner of South Huron and Bowman of
East Huron have seats on the side oc-
cupied by the Liberal party there num-
bers being being 142 and 174 respect-
ively.

Communion service will be held in
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church next
Sunday morning.
A.unanimous invitation has been ex-
tended to Rev. T. Wesley Cosens, of
Clinton to become pastor of the Em-
press Avenue Methodist Church at
London.
Rev. G. W. .Andrews, B. A., super-
annuated Methodist minister, died at his
home in Aylmer last week. Deceased
was a brother of J. W. Andrews, of
Forowich and lately of Bluevale.
The services in the Baptist Church
next Sunday, Dec. 3rd, both morning
and evening, will be .of a special char-
acter in connection with the installing
of the new organ. There will be plen-
ty of music, both organ and choral, and
the sermons will have special reference
to the occasion. "Whosoever will may
come,"
Rev. Hector McKay, formerly of
London Junction, has received word of
his appointment to the Presbyterian
Church at Bowsman, Manitoba. Mr.
McKay spent the summer in the west,
and is at present visiting with his
mother, Mrs, M. McKay, at Ripley. He
will leave in a few days for Dowsman
to take up his duties.

23rd, I Tisa Toms, wife of Dr. J. E.

HENDERSON—In Wingham, on Nov-
ember 23rd, Thomas Henderson, aged
80 years.
WYLIE—In Turnberry, on November
25th, James Wylie, aged 79 years, 9
months and 6 days.
WEBSTER.—In Kinloss, on November
19th, Ada Button, wife of Mr. Wilbert
Webster, aged 31 years, 5 months and
10 days.
RANN.—In Grey township, on Nov -
20th, Mary Ann Knight, relict of the
late JamesRann, in her 82nd year.
CUMING—In Blyth, on Nov. 20th,
Elias Cuming, aged '79 years, 6 months
and 15 days.
PIERSON—Iu Hullett, on Nov. 17th,
Neilson Pierson, in the 74th year of
his age.
GRENNAN—In London, on November
23rd, J. H. Grennan, aged '72 years.
