Business College last Week. Miss
Matheson and Miss Mills have gone to
their respective homes for a short
vacation before leaving for the city to
accept a position. Mr. Inch intends
remaining at the W. B. C. to take a
Commercial Course.
—In keeping with the general sur-
roundings of the Chateau Laurier, the
new 52,000,000 hotel, constructed by
the Grand Trunk Railway System at
Ottawa, the pbtures for the bedrooms
have been purchased and consist of
some of the best'reproductions of fam-
ous masterpieces from the London,
Paris and Berlin galleries, They will
be framed in moulding that will har-
monize with the fittings of the several
floors, including Louis XV, Louis XVI
and Colonial styles. Care and great
taste has been used in the selection of
the pictures so that they will add to
the cheerfulness of this magnificent
hotel.

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church on

Rev. C. D. Jeakins, of Clinton, a
former popular Rector here will con-
duct the services in St, Paul's Church
next Sunday,
Rev, Dr. Rutledge preached anniver-
sary sermons in the Colborne Street
Methodist Church at London"on Sunday
last and the services were very success-
fuI.. The collections taken for the re-
duction of the mortgage debt amounted
to about $1,000, With other contribu-
tions promised this will reduce the in-
debtedness of the church to only a few
hundred dollars. Rev, D. N, McOamus.
of London took Dr. Rutledge's work in
the Methodist Church here and preach-
ed excellent missionary sermons.
Four hundred employees of the Dom-
inion Textile mill at Magog, Que., are
on strike.
A deputation from McGill University
asked Premier Gouin of Quebec for an
annual grant of $100,000.
Premier Roblin and Hon. Colin Camp-
bell are in Ottawa in connection with
the Manitoba boundary case.
The Norwegian barque Antigua was
wrecked at Martin River and the cap-
tain and eleven men were drowned.
