—Mrs. M, Huffman purchased Mrs.

--A rumour has been going the rounds
to the effect that a North Huron Tele-
phone Co. Subscriber had been fined $5
for listening on the line. There is ab-
solutely nothing in this rumour.
—On information laid by Provincial
Constable Phippen, John Karges ap-
peared before Police Magistrate Mor-
ton on Tuesday and was fined $5 and
costs or 21 days in jail for being drunk
and disorderly.
--The Wingham W. C. T. U. will
hold their next regular meeting on the
Hospital grounds on Tuesday evening,
June 6th, at 8 o'clock. All members
and friends are requested to attend
this meeting.
—The engagement is announced of
Alive Leona, only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. B. J. Crawford, Dungannon, On-
tario, to Mr. Roy E. Willis, of Saska-
toon, Sask„ the wedding to take place
the latter part of June.

Misses Annie Deyell and Lula Currie
spent last week with friends in Toronto.
Miss Minnie Walker, B line,Turnberry
spent twenty-fourth with her aunt in
Culross.
