, Winter Crops in Ontario,
The winter crops have come through
very well, all through the Province,"
said Mr. Squirrell, assistant to Profes-
sor C. A. Zavitz of the seed and experi-
mental department of the Ontario
Agricultural College, when The Toronto
Globe reporter called on him at his
office to inquire about the reports re:,
eeived on the crops of the Province.
"There are efew districts scattered
about through the Province where the
crops sown last fall have not wintered
very well, but these," he said, "are
much in the minority, and the winter
crops generally have come through the
winter splendidly and promise a good
yield, almost everywhere in Ontario.
At least a very satisfactory average
may be confidently looked for."
